The plan here is to keep the ICT Ywings going in circles staying in shooting range as often as possible. With kavils ability to roll an additional attack dice when out of arc combined with the spend focus / r4s TL ability I like to keep him in the middle partnered with the auto Y to be devastating up close. Very subject to swarms even though the turrets can control somewhat, the lack of damage from all 4 is relatively low. Fun to fly and few things look cooler than 4 Ys
Deep, I really like the use of dual vipers as they're my favorite scum ship.. This is without question the most well synergized SV squad I've seen to date..
Chapp, your Ndru is quite expensive being such an easy target, other than that it looks cool and devasting at close range..
Fickle, this will most defintely be the list I'm flying.. this list has just about everything, Strong long and short distance attack, consistent defense in the arc Dodgers, high amount of hit points, and above all fun to fly..
Zorathehutt, I'd substitute the lone BTL for a Syck mangler and try to make it your last ship by mp taking range 3 focused potshots..

Been running N'Dru like this as a second wave... Y-Wing to a flank, Firespray keeps close and slingshots mines and causes stress as best he can... That big potential 8 dice hit is a big threat if it lives of course....

Shooty guys shoot more accurate than anyone else and the blockers, well block. People around here are starting to fear the massed firepower and debuffing of Boba and Palob. Ships with a constant reserve of Focus and rerolls are nasty.

I slow rolled with the twin HWKS letting Palob build up some focuses, while Guri did some hit and run actions.
I loved having 2 HWKs on the table, and Greedo really makes that Ion Cannon punchy!
Soss, idk what it is about bombs I just can't myself around to using them, I'd love to but I feel as if they're wasted pts in competitive play, yes quite ignorant as I've never play tested them
Sca, that's quite an interesting boba, tho for 40 pts you should utilize his devastating range 1 attacks with k4 VI...

I've settled on the Autoblaster version of Kavil as the stronger overall choice, after a fair amount of experimentation. I like this list a lot, although I think Mangler + Hull (or Mangler plus Unhinged Astromechs for the BTL-A4s) helps keep your opponent's targeting priority where you want it.

I am not sure about competitive play with them but I can tell you my thoughts. I have never used them before and I think it was refreshing and a new twist. I think if do e right they can add a new element, it basically a way to do damage in another phase as well the damage by shooting and they can be used to control were a ship may move.
One example is I started off by slinging a procimity mine in front of Farlander. This forced him to move through it and it did 3 damage to it. It also forced the other ships close to him to avoid that direction. This allowed me to drop a Siesmic charge with Kath in a spot that was a good guess on were they would be, this did 1 damage to the other to x-wings. So at turn 3 every ship had damage and it made it easier to pick them off later.
The other thing is people are not used to playing against bombs and you can surprise people with them.

The second list is a pure theory build so far and I might switch things around, but having Boba be an in your face bulldog while Scyks snipe is the idea.
Sos, I think the element of throwing your Andrasta into light speed with a 4straight, boosting left, attacking 4 out of the rear and dropping a bomb would be the most cinematic gnarly sequence of events on x wing to date.. it's quite difficult to maneuver into a temporary lane, slam the thrusters down and shoot across the map without touching anything and keeping in arc.

I like the consistent ATK of 4 dice, no matter what.. I'm open to suggestion on boba but kath is pretty much a lock...

As I grow as a player, I'm now constantly thinking with a strategical mind.. If my squad is or isn't the current meta or just plain gnarly, that means absolutely nothing to me. I love flying whisper down the middle and pulling a DC left and hard 3r getting into r1 on his dash..I like seeing my opponent gun down my whisper with skillful maneuvers and well planned attacks, I like running mr super dash around the edge popping off 4 dice every turn even more so when my opponent expertly blocks all lanes of escape and corners my dash into imminent death as that's what x wing is ...
Losing will teach you, winning will blind you to your mistakes.
This is a simply a response to the lists I tend to take interest in, but not because of their sheer destruction they just seem to be the ships I enjoy flying most, EVEN WHEN IM LOSING!! ![]()
