Interesting point. From what I gather from the various interviews with the designers, FFG generally has stuff planned out far, far in advance. I think the quoted timeframe was 18 months. So given the delays with the last couple of waves, there could be a significant backlog of waves/products that are ready for factories. But I don't think we'll see a sudden surprise release.

No. Considering stores need a few months to place orders, we will always know about products with a few months before they hit stores. The only exception being the stuff they print in house, which doesn't have to go through their distrubution network.

I suspect we will hear about wave 7 in the next 5 weeks...and they will release in early summer. Let's say April 6th they announce it. then it releases on may 26th...plenty of time for stores to order and spoilers too whet our appetite. wave 7 would be legal for many Regionals too....didn't something like that happen last year ?

(I take this back...it looks like standard release is 3+ months after the set is first officially mentioned so probably not until July at the earliest...and then that would screw with the usual Gencon early release)

so we will get maybe 3-4 releases this year. Wave 6,the raider, wave 7,another release of some kind that probably ties into episode VII.

hopefully the meta becomes more fluid in the next couple of months or Regionals may looks like Star Trek due to lack of competitive builds...

Remember, there is still backlog at the ports, which is probably why there is a bit of delay on any more announcements. Don't want another Wave 5 incident.
