The third bullet of "The Source" mission is:

A Rebel figure can interact with the captured officer to perform the following:
- The hero and the captured officer each move 2 spaces.

So, it is a "Rebel figure" (so both heroes and allies) or a "Hero" (only)?

(From the updates of the FAQ/Errata I would day "Rebel figure")

To piggyback off this question, is this the only way rebels can move the imperial officer? Using an action to move him 2 squares per turn? How in the world are they supposed to make it to the terminal in 8 turns - unless every hero uses one of their actions every turn to shuffle him along... all you could do is move, and then interact to move?

"Rebel Allies", RRG, Page 5:

The term “Rebel figures” includes all heroes as well as Rebel allies.

And yes, this would be the only way to move the officer. This is to simulate the fact that even though the officer is a neutral figure, he is not "friendly" and as such, you have to force him at blaster/lightsaber/wookie-point, kicking and screaming, to do what the heroes want him to do.

Anyone played this mission? Seems impossible for the rebels if they have to babysit the whole game...

It takes 15 actions to get the officer to the terminal and secure it. In 8 rounds, there will be 64 actions by heroes and 16, 32, or 48 actions depending on how many ally figures you bring. There's plenty of time to do it in... if you actually pay attention to the objective.

Anyone played this mission? Seems impossible for the rebels if they have to babysit the whole game...

If the 2 nexu clog the doorway, you're looking at having to move 1 space at a time through the difficult terrain, only to defeat 1 nexu before you can even physically get to the door. And that's if they haven't had time yet to deploy more imps to clog you up even further. Then, once you get out of the room, you're faced with future deployments in your face the entire way.

You can't waste time focusing on any single thing. You MUST move him forward, you MUST attack occasionally, and you MUST rest occasionally. You can also use the captive officer for cover, as possible...

We've seen this mission 4 times and the rebels have never won it.

Basically - in my opinion - if you don't make every correct decision and have decent dice luck, rebels can't win this one. Most important - don't get stuck in the first room...

That is correct! They can move through the blue squares like a hot saber through butter.

He is no hero, so the "The hero" part could not resolve. If the "The hero" part can not resolve, can the "the captured officer move 2 spaces" part resolve because it is "The hero and the captured officer" ?

It's a typo, they should either both be figure or (and I hope it's not this one) both be hero.

Speaking of typos in The Source did anyone ever confirm what was going on with:

"May use the order ability of the captured [elite] officer"

Yes that's what I assume. But I don't know which way it should be.

Yes, the conclusion was that it should be the Executive Order as it is an Elite Officer.

When we played this it did look impossible, the rebel players almost gave up right away...

...they finished on Round 6, winning extra benefits!

First: The officer moves 2 spaces, not movement points. So difficult terrain doesn't slow him.

Second: He can be moved more than once per round, so it's possible to slingshot him between heroes.

We played with only Heroes being able to move him (I think).

Admittedly I didn't clog areas with Nexu, as A) I'm not that sort of Imperial player and B) I hate Nexu's and see them as unthematic (only using them when they are in initial groups or I absolutely have to... I mean why would they be fighting alongside Imperials? Especially in this mission, where I think the initial fluff sets up the fact that the Royal guard had orders to kill the Nexu LOL).

So yeah, it's entirely possible for the rebels.

We just played this last night and the Rebels won! It was a long drawn out bloody knuckle dragger but we managed to score a victory in the 7th round!

Force push/pull was a boon (especially since the Imperial player kept on trying to make the officer run away).

Our jedi Diala was the tank resting and using Battle Mediation to keep the heroes focused. Jyn with her sidewinder ability kept on cutting down imperial forces and pushing on ahead.
By no means was it easy but it was a nail biting epic win for sure.

I bet Diala is great. Can't believe my Rebels never take her. I want a real challenge (not like I don't already usually lose anyway )
