So, I just started building my first X-wing fleet. I'm going Imperial, and this is what I've come up with:

Rear Admiral Chiraneau (46)
Determination (1)
Proton Bombs (5)

Academy Pilot (12) x4

Total: 100

The basic idea is a hammer/anvil sort of force with the TIE mini-swarm being used to protect the Decimator from swarms while it pounds on any arc-dodgers. The Determination card is there for some defensive protection as I'm sure I'll get hit with a lot of criticals. The Proton Bomb can help if I get surrounded or need to take out heavily shielded targets like B-Wings.

Thoughts? I only have the X-wing core set (x2) and the Decimator set at this time, so I'm limited on upgrades. But any advice would be helpful as far as the Decimator loadout or TIE pilots.

I would go with Ysanne Isard + Moff Jerjarrod. You will lose if the rear admiral bites it, so you want it as survivable as possible...

Thanks, I was thinking I might need more defense. That does put me without Determination, which I would like to hang onto if possible. Maybe do the following:

Rear Admiral Chiraneau (46)

Determination (1)

Ysanne Isard (4)

Total: 51

That should at least help keep RAC alive a bit longer.
