Pay close attention the the main objective - and go for it as fast as possible. Don't worry about clearing Imperials forces necessarily. Also - communicate and plan ahead with your fellow hero players.
Focus on the mission and with all the hidden information, expect the unexpected.
I can't stress enough to focus on objectives. My rebel players are very easily distracted whenever I drop a shiny new threat and focus on killing them rather than the objectives (a fact I am more than happy to exploit. I would rather drop a bunch of Royal Guards to be killed than have them get to the point). Don't make the same mistake.
Edited by ThatJakeGuyYou can't beat the empire. Surrender Rebel, scum!

This is 100% correct. The only thing I would add, really think about target priority. Unless you rank the threats in order of their ability to prevent you achieving the objective, you are going to have problems. Objectives are number 1. The only other thing that appears on your radar is stuff that can stop you from achieving the objective.
So prioritize targets by how badly they can slow you down. After Objectives, prioritize targets based upon how badly they can hurt you. If it can hurt you badly, and you can kill it quickly, I make that priority number 2. Stuff that can maul my characters, but will take me more than 2 actions to kill -- avoid it. If I cannot avoid it gets priority 3. Finally, harassing Imperials I generally avoid. The only way they get attention is if they have stacked up a "wall of bodies" between me and an objective. Then punch just enough of a hole to get through -- and keep moving toward the objective.
That being said (which are good advices), do not always rush the objective. Keep in mind victory conditions. When mission have a time limit, indeed, its usually important the be really quick to get to your objectives. On the other hand, rushing an objective in a mission where time is not a constraint can put you in difficult situations. In these mission, I find my rebel opponents giving me more of a headache when they advance steadily while clearing the path before them, moving almost only using strain, and resting a lot to heal.
Move carefully. Use strain when you need too, use abilities that help grant you extra move.
This is why abilities like Gaarkhan's charge, Diala's Force Push and Gideon's command are so boss. It's because they give you tactical mobility.
