Is this list competitive?

The idea is to use Biggs to keep Corran alive until endgame. This can be flown in a tight formation or have Corran be the flanker. I have not yet flown this list but think it could give two ship lists some serious trouble as well as stand up to some BBBBZ madness. What do you think?

Corran Horn. 35 (46 pts)

VI. 1

FCS. 2

R2D2 4

Engine 4

Biggs 25 (31 pts)

R2F2 3

Stealth 3

Arien Cracken 19 (23 pts)

VI 1

Ion Pulse 3

100 total

There are a lot of 'extra' points being spend on Biggs. I'm guessing the idea is that Biggs can get up to 4 agility dice but then he's still waiting for Cracken to shoot and allow Biggs to Focus to maximize those dice.

There's not a lot of firepower in the squadron even if Corran can hit hard every other round.

It's a bit heavy on the upgrades. It's usually better to have more ships than upgrades. I might adjust it as such:

Corran Horn. 35 (46 pts)
VI. 1
FCS. 2
R2D2 4
Shield 4

Biggs 25 (28 pts)
Hull 3

Tala Squadron (13)

Tala Squadron (13)

I trimmed out some of the fat to squeeze in an extra Z. R2-F2 and Stealth have been replaced with Hull on Biggs. It's cheaper and more reliable (those green dice are fickle) and it doesn't rely on using an action. I like the Shield Upgrade on Corran a bit more over Engine Upgrade in this squadron, especially since you're using R2-D2. He won't need the Engine Upgrade as much while he's flying with Biggs anyway, although the Engine is certainly not a bad choice on Corran.

That may work.

Was thinking the list would work like this.

Everyone moves and depending on wether or not I believe Cracken will have a shot determines if Biggs focuses or R2F2.

Then Cracken shoots gives Biggs an action (R2F2 or focus) or Corran action if in a poor position.

So Biggs then is rolling 4 dice min with a focus.

Biggs is used best flying in formation with higher value ships you don't want to lose right away. Corran isn't a formatin flyer.

Biggs doesn't really work with this list. Corran will be disengaging/engaging to regain shields and having Biggs following him around at range 1 doesn't make much sense. I think using Biggs to protect Z95s is pretty pointless too.
