VERY FRUSTRATED issues putting center gun on AT ST.

By Ken on Cape, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

When I picked the game up, i tried to put the center gun in the AT ST and I pushed so hard to get it in place the barrals of the gun warped. FFG sent me a new part but I am still having major issues putting it in place. I have not warped anything.

I just want to put it in right. I am not a model person. FFG should have made it easier to put together. You'd figure you spend 100 bucks on a new top of the line game, FFG would have made sure the main mini from it would'nt have any issues. Pluse I get to do it again when my General Wiess pack comes in next week.

Use a hair dryer. Takes no time at all just heat up the "mouth" a bit and push the guns in.

You need to pick a larger font size for FFG to read it.

1. Make some tea

2. Soak parts in left over hot water for 30 seconds.

3. Insert part into other part.

4. Congratulations, you have a tasty beverage to enjoy.

I share the OP's pain. Disappointing that such an obvious issue wasn't pointed out. Given the level of detail and quality that was put into this game, FFG surely knew of the issue.

I wish I would have read these suggestions earlier, especially the tea.

1) put chin gun on table egde

2) put canopy of AT-ST on top of chin gun

3) apply firm pressure down on canopy until gun pops on

1. Make some tea

2. Soak parts in left over hot water for 30 seconds.

3. Insert part into other part.

4. Congratulations, you have a tasty beverage to enjoy.

This. So much this. I even skipped the Tea part! Literally takes 5 mins and is perfect with minimal amount of effort.

This again?!

I just used a knife and a file and gently trimmed down the nubs inside the ATST "mouth" part, applied a small bit of glue to the sides of the gun piece and in it went. I don't really care if the gun moves around or not, I just want it in there firmly.

When I got my General Weiss pack, I just did the same thing and saved myself much frustration.

I had the same issues - I somehow made it without breaking the barrels off.

I filed the nobs a bit down and used the force over a tble edge to make it snap in.

Yes this could be easier.

But in the end: THIS IS NO CHILDS TOY. Its made for grown-ups.

And I'm sure we can handle this.

Yeah i used blade to shave down nubs also had to shave down general weiss he wasnt fitting in hole.

I did the boiled water trick and that worked.
