Just wondering are there purple chiss?
On the cover of "enter the unknown" the chiss is clearly purple but I don't see any vague mention of purple chiss in the book, or wookiepedia or even swtor wiki

Betting it's artistic interpretation.
Also the blue spectrum is pretty large. A Chiss on the darker end of the spectrum isn't unimaginable.
Edited by KshatriyaChiss aint smurfs... a natural blue in nature tends to have a more purple complexion.
Also they change in complexion based on the oxygen content of the air. I think they get lighter with more oxygen and darker with less? Or something like that.
It's not hard to imagine that there are various skin shades among Chiss just as there are among humans.

That sounds more like it. My wife's Chiss character went into an Ord Mantell casino where the air was heavily oxygenated and I remember that it got darker.
Yeah fair enough. Just don't know how varied colors can be like if something has a slightly different color in star wars maybe its a different race
Like aren't red twileks rare? Twileks can be almost any color I assume?
There are purple chiss if you want there to be or if a player wants to play one.

According to what I read, a Red Tw'Lek is a result of some mutation and is very uncommon. It's basically Albino for Tw'Leks.
In my setting I have pale yellows, pale blues, dark green, pale green and orange. Generally pastel colours.
It kind of impacts on flavour that the most notable red twi'lek was a Sith Lady, so you kind of want to keep it as something unusual, in my mind.
I thought it was a Chiss' eyes that grew brighter the more oxygen there was?... not the darker their skin got. ![]()
