Was playing a game last week and my opponent used Darth Vader on my Decimator. when I saw the crit , I said that i would use Moff to get rid of the crit and turn it into normal damage. then my opponent told me that I cant use Moff against Vader because vader makes you suffer a crit and it is not dealt a crit. Is this true?

The Moff can trigger anytime you are dealt a face up damage card. If the damage from Vader is dealing a face up damage card, you can use Moff J on it, if the damage from Vader hasn't gotten through the shields yet and so is not dealing a face up damage card, but only removing a shield token, then you can't.
Dice Results turn into Damage. Damage turns into Cards.
Vader deals one critical damage. That will check for a shield, remove a token if there is one, and deal a face up damage card otherwise.
Jerjerrod triggers on dealt cards. That's past Vader, who's already done his thing by inflicting the damage (which led to a dealt card).
When an ability acts on one of those three parts (results, damage, cards) it doesn't care what happened upstream of it. Vader has nothing to do with dice results. Jerjerrod doesn't care where the face up card came from - Vader's critical damage (damage), a normal attack's Critical Hit die (results), or a card dealt directly from a Proton Bomb. You just enter at that point in the flow, and go from there.

how funny would it be if a Decimator with Vader crits another Decimator with the Moff and Vader the crit is Injured Pilot, Chiraneau doesn't like that then orders Moff to put Vader in the airlock. Vader killed Vader that makes me smile
