Poll: What do you like more ? Rebels or Empire

By DreadStar, in Star Wars: Armada

I made this poll to see people's preferences. I am sure many will play both anyways, but which one you prefer over the another.

"The Rebel Fleet has been destroyed. The EMPIRE is victorious."

Edited by RedPriest

The Alliance for the same reasons I usually play as the Alliance when playing Rebellion or Empire at War for PC. I prefer a number of small and medium capital ships with one or two big ones and the Alliance usually has more small and medium ship designs to choose from. Plus I also prefer the rag tag feel of a rebel fleet.

Still lacking votes for a larger sample size, but surprising results thus far.

I am an imperial supporter. We know the rebs win, but there is something to the organization and acceptance of the Imperial empire. The Imperials could not have remained in power without the support of many planets and people.

Plus I also prefer the rag tag feel of a rebel fleet.

Would you say you prefer "rag tag fugitive fleets"?

Depends on the ratio of fighting ships to floating targets in the fleet.

I usually go for a rag tag feel in forces I build for any strategy game if its a viable option.

I am always a firm believer in the overwhelming force principle,

And in empire I love the simpleisity of the imperial fleets and every time I play rebels I'm always like, EAT FIGHTERS YOU STIINKING STAR DETROYER MUHAHAHAH!! And then a single tartan patrol cruiser drops out of hyperspace with full power to weapons and I yell

"ITS A TRAP"

then all my fighters die and I'm like NOOOOOO!!!

Thankfully a majority still supports the Emperor.

I rarely use fighters in Empire at War except in the very early stages of a Alliance single player campaign. The only fighters I ever build besides in those early stages are air support bombers for my ground invasions, my space attack fleets are pure capital ship groups and I replace my starting defensive fighters with Corellian Gunships, Corvettes, or Marauders as fast as they die. Tartan surprise is thus not a big deal to me.

More HNN propaganda since the poll was taken from the Imperial Navy. Not what you call a balanced poll. They haven't tried to get the Wookie vote and no one believes their excuse that Alderaan agreed to a Hyperspace Highway and that's why it was demolished.

I'm not sure I understand your criticism.

Of course the poll should primarily come from Imperial Navy personnel. These are the people who put their lives on the line to bring order to our galaxy. Why do you hate them? Next thing you'll say is that Sienar Fleet Systems and Kuat Drive Yards can't contribute credits to the Re-Select Palpatine 2016 campaign. Credits are speech, sir!

As far as Wookiees being allowed to vote, now you're just being silly. What's next? Jawas, droids, and Ugnauts? Some species are good for making decisions, and some are made for labor (or, scavenging, in the case of Jawas). It would upset the natural order of things to broaden the franchise.

Regarding Alderaan, please don't spread that laughable conspiracy theory. The plans had been on display for fifty years. They had plenty of time to launch an official complaint or participate in the citizens committees. Besides, traffic through the Commenor Run moves so much faster now. People commuting from Tyed Kant to Korfo can actually get to work on time.

That's fantastic.

I am a loyalist of the Empire through and through.

The Empire brings order to the Galaxy where the Republic was a failure that was full of corruption and disorder.

The Republic was a contradiction having monarchs and dictators in a supposedly a democratic society, and failed to keep its senators in line thus causing more conflicts.

Some people think the Empire was evil, yet don't seem to think the Republic was bad when it introduced a immorally unethical clone army to fight the Separatist who didn't want to be apart of the Republic

Also the Jedi order were a bunch of Zealots who believed in prophecy and were leading troops in war which is against there teachings.

The Empire doesn't pretend to be something it isn't and instead focuses on unity and order.

Hail to the Empire! Hail to Emperor Palpatine!

Well I remember before the last election the Death Star conveniently was destroyed and the Emperor using it to get the patriotic votes. Too convenient? Let's look at the facts.

That's not cool, man. Some of us had friends who were aboard the Death Star when it blew.

And the thought that Lord Vader would do such a thing!?

DESPICABLE!!

Somethings going on. You just watch Vader will turn on your Emperor one day, you'll see.

What i see is that Rebels are a vocal minority in this post but they have their heart where it matters. Huuuush imperials, hush!
