Hey guys! I've asked this around a few places now, but I figured I'd give it a shot here as well. I play team games once a week and I've been wanting to incorporate autoblaster into my rotation. I've got a friend who constantly fields "Whisper" combined with a few other cards that allow him to throw between 4-5 defense die, combined with his de-cloak boost and loop, the only thing I've seen been able to take him down is autoblaster as it can't be defended. With that in mind, I've created a few builds below built around this mechanic.
Option 1: 2 x Y-wing - Syndicate thug (18) + Autoblaster turret(2) + R4 Agromech (2) + Bomb Loadout (0) + Proximity Mine (3) for a total of 50 points.
or
Options 2: 2 x M3-A - Cartel spacer (14) + “Heavy Scyk” Interceptor (2) + Shield Upgrade (4) + Autoblaster (5) for a total of 50 points.
The Y-wings seem a lot more durable, but the autoblaster only gets two dice instead of three. The M3-A seems a lot more fragile up front, but it's also a lot more maneuverable and it's agility is much higher. Would you recommend one over the other? Any changes you'd make to one or the other? Is the M3-A worth fielding, or does it just get shredded? Are there any other 50 pt. Scum squads that you'd suggest?
