This game is just like the computer game in a way.

So after a couple of games, I feel like this reflects the computer game on a Classic level difficulty with the Ironman saving turned on. That is, lots of screaming and crying over in a corner, balled up into the fetal position. Tons of death and a complete feeling of hopelessness at points too. That being said, also like the computer game, is the hardest part seems to be the beginning of the game as you try to get your tech set up on a point to where you are on near equal footing with the aliens. There is also no better feeling in gaming when you get a low percentage shot to save the life of one of your soldiers, which is reflected in getting a success vs a large threat roll.

The game designer deserves applause for getting the feeling of the digital game so close to the board game. When I first heard about this, I was skeptical. I'm glad to have been proven wrong.
