I plan to order two of each. Otherwise it won't fit into my current colour scheme that has elite and standard units differentiated. I've not even tried Skirmish yet, the main reason to buy multiples.

Yes it is. I've been using it in some of my X-Wing March Madness videos lately. Gorgeous thing!
Maybe it was just me, or I got lucky or something. But the chingun for my Gen Weiss was much easier to put in then the AT-ST that came with the core set.
Mine was much easier too!

Excellent. If I end up getting really into Skirmish I can order more packs later. For now 2 for each will do me. One standard and one elite.

Small correction. The Royal Guard Champion was Carnor Jax (not Kir Kanos) in the campaign guide at GenCon.
I don't play Skirmish but is there any rule that states you can't have multiple Royal Guard Champions fielded within one squad?

Right now, given all the expansion packs we know of. The only two you might want to buy multiples of would be the Rebel Trooper and Rebel Saboteur. Otherwise everything else is unique as far as I know.
