Scum VS Rebels, 210 points advices

By TheHappy1, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi!

First post here, I will soon have a game against a friend, we want to try a rebel squadron against 4 IGs. Here is his planned list:

PILOTS

Wedge Antilles (33)
X-Wing (29), R2-D2 (4)

Tycho Celchu (28)
A-Wing (26), A-Wing Test Pilot (0), Chardaan Refit (-2), Push the Limit (3), Determination (1)

Jake Farrell (25)
A-Wing (24), Chardaan Refit (-2), Push the Limit (3)

“Leebo” (46)
YT-2400 Freighter (34), Determination (1), “Mangler” Cannon (4), Jan Ors (2), Outrider (5)

Bandit Squadron Pilot (12) x 4

Prototype Pilot (15) x 2
A-Wing (17), Chardaan Refit (-2)

Here is what I thought for 4 IGs. I wanted to build a list that would be fun and hard for him to predict. B would act as a bouncer/blocker, A would be my schizo, D y control freak and C a heavy hitter.

PILOTS

IG88-B (52)
Aggressor (36), Veteran Instincts (1), Accuracy Corrector (3), Autoblaster (5), Proximity Mines (3), Feedback Array (2), IG-2000 (0), Anti-Pursuit Lasers (2)

IG88-C (54)
Aggressor (36), Push the Limit (3), Accuracy Corrector (3), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), “Hot Shot” Blaster (3), IG-2000 (0), Autothrusters (2)

IG88-D (51)
Aggressor (36), Push the Limit (3), Fire-Control System (2), Ion Cannon (3), Flechette Cannon (2), “Hot Shot” Blaster (3), IG-2000 (0), Autothrusters (2)

IG88-A (53)

Aggressor (36), Veteran Instincts (1), Enhanced Scopes (1), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Autoblaster (5), Inertial Dampeners (1), IG-2000 (0), Autothrusters (2)

I need opinions for the scum list mostly, I'm not sure he's coming here anyway :)

No one ever dreamed of building a group of 4 IG-88 that would all have a different way to act? :)

Dreamed? A nightmare I'd say!

"Hah, just what I was hoping for. See that ship that just moved right in front of you? His action will be to drop his Proximity mine, right on top of Wedge."

-"Sorry dude, that's B you're thinking of. You just moved A. That being said, B would have been able to drop his mine on Tycho earlier this round..."

"... %^&*@#! Why do they all look the same? And why aren't they all the same? By all the gods, that would have been so much easier..."

Anyway, it's difficult to properly comment on the list. I'd personally not want B to get in the thick of it - range 1 shots will finish him off quickly, and that special rule in invaluable, especially with all the points you spent on cannons. Autothrusters (and staying at a distance) will serve you much better than Anti-Pursuit lasers - especially since nearly all Rebels will move before you anyway, so few are likely to overlap. Accuracy corrector with Autoblaster I Iike, on a HLC it doesn't seem quite as nice (you're looking for more hits there). I'd also put the Flechette and Ion Cannons on different ships - that way, you'll be able to ionize+stress a single ship in one turn, which isn't possible with both being on the same IG (B's second attempt only works when missing, while both cannons require you to hit for the special rule to take effect).
