So with my SSD I'm looking to recreate the battle for endor with the SSD's point value and having a decent escort of gsd and vsd plus raiders and fighters. As well as the rebel fleet to match I am looking at the insane 1400 point game.

This is just the first battle there was a few reasons for no ISD; first which is the pure look of Mel's SSD is 25inchs long while the ISD's are 9 inches and the VSD's are 5 inchs so was looking to make the SSD stand out even more. Also The SSD I am loading up with the ISD cards including tractor beam. The SSD even without card is already a beast having SSD and ISD's with all the others would tip the favor more to empire so we wanted to try a little balance. At least what we are thinking once we play we will be adjust much more. Next version is looking to include the ISD as well as the Interdictor and Imperial assault carriers. The other issue we are figuring out is the size of board with these massive fleets current doing 3x6(two xwing mats) but are looking for version 2 to play a 4x9. Version two would have one ISD I with barely any upgrade replacing one of the VSD II with upgrades. 1400 is looking to be a good point value for two fleets so we are trying to keep it that. One of the Mats is the Yavin Death star one and we discussing for version two having a death option/ objective right now its destroy most of each others fleets in the amount of rounds .

I have been collecting Superstar destroyers for 20 years At one time I had one six foot long but I sold it because it wasn't even close to what I saw on the big screen.

I have SSDs from 37ft, 25 ins,15 ins,12ins,10 ins, 5ins,3 ins, they all where SSDs but none we're the Executor until today when Mel's Executor arrived at my home. If you want the Executor and not just a SSD then get Mel's on Shape ways Just check Mel's shape ways shop.

it uses two large ship stands you can also get them from Mel's site if you don't have spare. As for cards I used http://nangiliath.blogspot.com/ who also posted earlier in this thread but you can also go http://kdyards.com/index.php for custom cards for custom ships. As well as https://armadashipyards.com/

but I do not think the SSD is on there yet.

Currently we have 2 versions of the SSD (maybe 3) on KDY. But if none ofvthose are what you are looking for, feel free to make your own.

That said, SSD models vary considerably in proportions. Some are 1/4 as wide as they are long. Some are 1/3 as wide, or even less. Some have long tail sections (one image earlier in this thread showed a tail even longer than the ship was wide) some have fairly short tails.

But which are closest to the TESB studio model?

I'd suggest the Mel's Miniatures model (which seems to be based on the fractalsponge model, which seems to match up most closely to the Empire At War: Forces of Corruption game) is probably more accurate than most of the others.
