Scum YT-1300's?

By Ryedub, in X-Wing

These people who say the YT-1300 and the Jumpmaster are the same,

so Scum & Villainy don't need the YT-1300, have these people even looked at the Jumpmaster?

That's so nonsensical and laughable.

Sure, those look identical to me, do they look identical to anyone else (sarcasm)?

It's really as dumb as saying each faction should only have one large ship.

The generic yt-1300 has two attack.

Comments?

The real issue with your design is that you are crossing large and huge ship abilities, which I toyed with myself, but sadly the rules are not set up to handle. What real reasoning would you give to start adding Energy to large ships? BTW, there are plenty of existing YT-1300 pilots out there, you don't have to start making them up out of gibberish.

The YT-1300 was designed for smuggling, what are you smuggling? Cargo! Illegal cargo, but cargo.

As for energy, you might be right.

As for pilots, I am not sure were I would find actual pilots, other than han, lando, and chewie, which i am going to make, just need some time to perfect them, so I made some up. Plus the YT-1300 was so common that there would be many pilots.

I've encountered this argument before, and my answer is the huge ship cargo is named that because the system slot already existed. The only two that are actually cargo are the Tibanna Gas Supplies upgrade and Expanded Cargo Hold upgrade, all the others are systems.

As for YT-1300s and their pilots, you could have checked wookieepedia's entry on them .

The YT-1300 (and YT-2400) should get Scum conversions for the same reason the Headhunter and Y-wing did: because they're exactly the kind of ship that Scum types would fly.

Took me all one minute to find these.

• The Krayt Fang was a YT-1300 light freighter that belonged to Trex , a Trandoshan bounty hunter in the employ of Hutt Cartel crime lord Teemo .

• The Frontier Hawk was a heavily-armed, modified YT-1300 light freighter owned and operated by smuggler Roget Jiriss as of 10 ABY .

Oo-Ta Goo-Ta was a modified YT-1300 light freighter owned and operated by the Rodian pirate and slaver Chordak .

Lord Vader..... rise, like this thread! /joke

Does the scum faction really need a YT though? The YV-666 and and Jumpmaster do excellent jobs of representing the ship roles the YT-2400 and YT-1300 do in the Rebellion. While it would be neat, I really think scum needs an epic ship and some fixes for the scyk, kafagrahrfc fighter, and Starviper before we add any new Large ships. I think this is a neat idea, just a little later on down the line.

Azzameen Family expansion or riot?

We need a YT-2000 expansion, it's just too good-looking a ship to pass up. And if that happens, the Azzameens should get YT-1300 pilot cards included in it along with their pilot cards for the Otana. That would be something different for a single-ship expansion, but in this case totally justified.

So you're suggesting have a single named pilot card for a scum YT-1300 in the set like "scum and villainy" did for the HWK-290 and Firespray? For the most part treating it like the ARC-170s then? Not a bad idea. It would please the people really wanting a YT-1300 in their scum fleet, but would never see play in tournaments.

Yeah, something like that.

Thanks for the pilots, I will try to make cards for them! :)

Even if it were just the previous titles of the Falcon and the previous owners, it would be a great addition to the scum fleet. FF can release it as part of a second box (Like Rebel/Imperial Aces or Vetrans) that included pirates and other bounty hunters. Kal and Dova Brigger dubbed it the Jackpot, Tobb Jadak and Reeze Duurmun renamed it the Stellar Envoy, there are too many to list! Along with a fix for the scum fleet, the box wouldn't even need a ship (But a Wilde Caard would be awesome)

It has been a very common line of speculation, almost since S&V was first announced, that any scum YT-1300 would have the Outer Rim Smuggler stat line. With a sufficiently radical paintjob and special pilot abilities designed with the lesser stats in mind, it would play and look VERY different to the Rebel version.

We don't need a new miniature/paintjob, just scum dial and pilots (like in Most Wanted).

Is the hope still alive? Did you end up making any custom cards? Ones you can post here?

Edited by gabe69velasquez

Yeah, but I can't seem to find them at the moment, I'll have to look around, but the hope of better smuggling is still alive.
