I have two E wings and will probably acquire a third, but I'm strange like that.

I like to have multiples of most small base ships, except phantoms because I don't want to encourage people.

It would probably be best to list the few expansions I don't have exactly one of, and why:

Expansions I have two of:

Core Set (not an expansion, sure, but fits, and the reasons for two are obvious I suspect)

Z-95 Headhunter (so that I can play a 4-Z miniswarm casually if I ever decide to)

Aggressor (because dual IG 2000 is just too much fun)

TIE Advanced (I actually have three of these, because zmg I'm looking forward to the Raider, and not getting caught out with FFG's constant stockouts)

Expansions I have not bought at all:

TIE Bomber (because ordnance is just that terrible)

Tantive IV (not interested in epic, and not paying $80+ for a handful of cards)

Scyk Interceptor (I realize others love it, but I just can't get into it)

Expansions I am considering buying a second copy of:

Slave-1 (Now With Scum Synergy!)

Defender (Predator is just that good)

I've never rarely felt the lack, with just one each of the vast majority of the expansions out there. *Plenty* of list diversity, and tons of fun. : )

Really need one of..., that´s rather depending on perspective, but mostly I would say the large transport vessels: YT-series, Decimator, Shuttle. And the HWK-290.

For all the others people might find the ´need´ to have more than one.

Best summary is from Khyros if you have doubts why you do or do not want more of one of the expansions (or core set)

That's a matter of opinion, but here is mine:

X Wing - The core set gives you one, this gives you your second. If you need a third, you can get the transport (recommended)

A Wing - You can get a second from Rebel Aces. More than two would rarely be needed unless you wanted to run a swarm of 6.

B Wing - You get a second from Rebel Aces, and short of 4 Blues, there aren't many reasons to need more than 2

E Wing - Most people only run Corran. A few try out Etahn, but most are fine with just 1 E wing

YT-1300 - There's only 1 Falcon

YT-2400 - There's only 1 Outrider

HWK-290 - There's only 1 Moldy Crow

Rebel Aces - Only need 1 box unless you want to run 6 A wings

Transport - Only need 1 box for the pilots unless you're playing epic

CR-90 - Only need 1 box for the upgrade cards, even if you're playing epic

TIE Advanced - Currently no reason to buy one, but once the raider drops, it'll give you two, plus Vader

TIE Interceptor - Unless you want to run multiple Alphas, the one /in pack plus the two from Imperial Aces should be more than enough

Shuttle - Unless you're name is Dom or SableGryphon, you probably don't want to run multiples of these, though they can be effective

Decimator - There are a few double deci builds, but not enough to buy a second one if you're limiting your collection

Phantom - Again, you could make some double Phantom lists, but most only use one

Imperial Aces - 3 Interceptors should be plenty.

^^ This. I see so many people on here recommending silly amounts of ships but the above is sensible and accurate. In terms of S&V, getting a Starviper for the Autothrusters is a sensible move if you intend to use TIE Interceptors or A-Wings. You may also want to pick up a Scyk Interceptor for the two new cannon upgrades (only if you think you will use them of course!) and a Most Wanted pack if you intend to run the BTL-A4 Y-Wings (again, only if you really think you will use them.)

Light up the first one! I started tearing it apart almost as soon as I bought it, and it's been sitting on my work bench (unplayable) for the past year. Things like other projects and work and life have interfered with getting it completed... Though it's **** close at this point. I just have about an hour more of wire routing left to do, and then a few hours of wiring, and then figuring out how to reassemble it all. I almost bought a second when they were on sale for $40 on MM, but then I realized that I haven't passed up an opportunity to use it because it's on the workbench.

The X-Wing and TIE Fighter expansions you only need 1 of, since you've got extra ships from the core game.

You also only need one Tantive 4 expansion, since you can only field one, and all of it's special upgrades are unique.

I'd wager you'll only need one Imperial Raider as well.

Now for stuff you COULD use multiples of, but don't really need to:

E-Wing for sure.

HWK - The best thing about a second is a second Blaster Turret.

StarViper - It only has one good pilot, and comes with two Autothrusters. (So unless you need 4, a single SV is good).

Falcon - I know it's the only way to get VI and Engine Upgrade, but how many of those do you really need in a list?

Slave 1 - Some of it's upgrades are now found in other places, like Stealth Device.

TIE Advanced - Even though the Raider can support 4 of them, the Raider is coming with one of it's own, so if you buy 1 TIE Advanced expansion you'll have 2, and honestly that's probably going to be enough for MOST serious lists.

Veteran Instincts also comes with the Slave I. So you'll have two copies if you buy one of each of those ships.

And Expose only comes with the Slave I! What if you need two ships to run Expose?!?!?!
