I haven't flown Firesprays very much, but I'm liking this list:

Emon+Andrasta+3 x Prox+ (Tactician, merc, or)( intel>1pt )( for the last 2 pts on Emon?) down graded from 2 x blk sun soldiers to get 2 pts for Emon crew..what do you guys think?

Torkil+BT+title+Recon S

2 x Pirates

I'm looking for ideas on using Emon, too. Did you see that article about using Proximity Mines offensively? Do a sharp turn and then sling the Prox out there to land on a high PS ship. I'd like to try that.

i read that article. built that list, and surprised my friend's Fat Han list that very evening!...needless to say he was shocked to see a prox land on the Falcon's windshield! LOL!! It was awesomesauce!, then you give him the guns out the rear end to pour salt in the wound. He rolled 2 hits and a crit and wrecked hans day! Too much fun! Torkil really helped as well, back behind his pirates, at range 2, he shut down Han twice to pilot skill 0. Great fight! Down to Han w/1 hull, Emon 2 hull.( his talas shot the crap out of Emon 2 turns in a row)...He won, on great attack roll. I rolled blanks!

All in all with some practice ,this list could be competitive even.

Whats your take on Emon? Love to hear your ideas!

Actually, I don't have any ideas yet! I've just started to think about him. I've got more time to read the forums than to play. I've got 101 ideas to try out and this is one of them. I'm not sure what would be the best thing to fly with Emon. Also, not sure how many bombs to use on him. Too many and you end up wasting them.

I've used Seismic with Tie Bombers in formation and you can really dish out the damage that way. I'd love the idea of tossing out Seismic Charges at people and still get my action. Still, I've not really messed with Prox.

I'll admit that I like to go for 1-2 elites and the rest generics. I'm more of a "mini-swarm" type player. I dislike the idea of having a bad turn and losing 1/3 your list. Also, law of averages say that you throw enough junk dice at someone and you eventually hit.

Maybe some generic Scyks? Not Heavy Scyks, but generics. They work the same as Tie Fighters to me and I love regular Tie Fighters.

Looking at fielding Emon myself... Think I have him kitted out with 2 Proximity Mines and a Seismic Charge, just to have the option of a drop without an action... Auto Blasters look nice on him as well, but not 100% sold on them at this point... We'll see, seeing a LOT of things I cannot normally hit with a 2-3 dice attack here, so...

I've been thinking about giving Experimental Interface to Emon. This way he can still do another action before shooting his mines. Something along the lines of:

Emon + Andrasta + Proxy mines (x3) + EI + K4 Droid

take your action of choice, shoot a mine, get stress. Next turn, do a green maneuver, get a TL, take your action of choice, shoot a mine, etc.

Should be fun to try, but I'm really not sure he's worth the 51pts you would be paying for him.

I thought about Heychadwicks idea of running a generic Scyk or two with Emon. I ended up replacing Torkil (hated doing it) with a Cartel. here's what i came up with:

Emon+k4+Andrasta+3 x prox

Cartel+HLC+title+stealth

2 x pirate

100 pts

Used it at league night, played 3 games.

!st game: against, Whisper/Chirpy combo. Tough match, but managed to plant a Prox on Whisper early in the match. (she rolled 2 hits, 1 crit) it was just a matter of time to take down the Deci with the rest of my prox and the M3-A

100-0 win

2nd game againt: Kath/Guri/pirate combo, not a bad list, but proxed and HLC Kath to death, Guri got tangled up in asteroid cluster and died from pirate fire at range 1.

100-0 win

3rd game against: Fat Han/Corran combo, great list with R2 and eng on Corran, he quickly double tapped the M3-A, however, took a prox 2 turns in row.

Poof! poor Corran...managed to wound Han, but he had R2 and C3PO and Pred and was able to wear down Emon after killing my pirates.

44-0 loss

Over all Emon and the Lads did pretty well, with a bit more practice this list indeed can be Tourney worthy!

Thanks Heychadwick for the idea, the M3-A is a great little ship, with the stealth, the little bastard is really hard to hit at rg 3, which is where I kept him in all the 3 matches. he was able to throw quite alot of PAIN !

Ya know BB, I wracked the brain trying to fit A'shera in for my scyk but I would have to sacrifice the K4 on Emon, and the 2 pirates are crucial to the list. so long story short, I kept the Wee wasp! he does just fine as is.

i love list...kills phantoms DEAD!

I took a seismic because it seems like good non action damage. Good for lobbing.

Then experimental interface allows you to take a double focus then lob a prox mine. Recon spec.

Action for attack and defense.

Retains two Zs and syck.

Could try a more cost effective Y with btl and r4

I'll wonder if after a few more matches with this list that you might put an extra hull or shield on the Scyk instead of the Stealth. I can see Stealth being good at R3, but everyone flubs a roll or two.

Glad you like the Sniper Scyk. I think it has real potential. I was initially thinking some Scyks to help block and get out of bomb's way with barrel rolls and such. You can't barrel roll with pirates and you can barrel roll to block.

BB, thought about a Y with goodies, but I really like the Wee Bee. For 26 points, he does enough damage along with the prox mines to justify losing him at some point. I do like the idea of hull upgrade, and your idea of EI, like the man said(Heychadwick), everyone flubs rolls!! LOL!

So, I wrote up a list that I'm going to try based on yours:

Emon w/ title, Prox Mines x 2, and Seismic Charges

Cartel Spacer w/ Mangler Cannon

3 x Pirates

I thought about Recon Specialist, but was thinking I would be using the action for the bomb slingshots. If I went with the crew and EI, then I wouldn't be able to fit in another Pirate. How useful is the EI and Recon Specialist for things to work for you? I figure drop the bombs and probably die not long after, then the rest cleans up.

Hmm 3 pirates...I like it, extra guns, still got mangler for Wee Bee, Emon looks good...(rubbing hands with glee)...hmmm...tough to get rid of HLC..but then again...lets give it a shot shall we? Ya know the great thing about this game is that there are endless options. Love the insanity of it all!

Again, list looks good, and I'm gonna test the EI on Emon tonight in a few games...I'll let cha know how it turns out.

Ok BB and Heychad M'Lads, heres the verdict on EI, Recon spec vs Extra pirate and mangler on Wee Bee(actually I had mangler on him in both lists)

They were both outstanding! Went 2-0 with BB's version and 1-w , 1-L with Heychadwicks. I like them both , the little bugger M3A wrecked many a Z on the other side of the table and BB's Emon trashed a Whisper, Soontir, Turr list ! 1--2--3 Pop!. It was stellar boys. Haychads list did very well too, although 2nd round with that list was the 4th of the night and my bed was calling...so I got sloppy flying my last Z into an asteroid...zzzzzzz.

all in all both were great fun are easily Tourney capable.

I like having the 2 Zs.


I think a Y will do more consistent damage but if you want a Syck I don't see why not either.

Also, I flub too many naked 3 dice. Sigh, I wish prox mines could also use your focus.

I'm gonna try my version soon. Sigh. No one to play with around here though.

How good really is a syck with Mangler? Worth it? Does enough damage? Does it need hull?

I could see the BTL Y and the HLC Hull Syck as being questionably both powerful, but I don't know how much a Mangler crit is really worth on a small ship that is moderately fragile.

To be honest BB, the Mangler did over all, better than the HLC on my other list, the chance of that hit-crit thingy was quite powerful. Stripped shields like a mad bastard!...but ya know?...I like your choice of the Y too...however, with the Wee bugger, you gotta stay at long range ALL the time to be effective. The pirates are more than capable at being really annoying, so, Emon is free to Flang S..t everywhere! confident in knowing the Wee Blighter is close behind throwing crits at range 3. ....I've seen the deer in the headlight look a few times after Whisper implodes!!

the M3A is fragile. Yes it is, but with lots of lovely practice, this little ship is deadly. Its how you fly it.
