2x Cartel Spacer, titles, HLCs, and Stealth Devices + 4x Binarye Pilot

Fly in two groups, 2 Z's and an M3-A in each group. A six ship swarm with two HLC's in it is a bit scary.

Looks nasty, I'd totally fly it!

I like it, but I think I'd prefer something like a beefy Boba to get in people's faces while the HLC Cartels plink away from sniper range.

same. i think a center piece would do better. also hull over stealth i think in this case.

I think stealth and a focus for defensive synergizes well with the ability to stay at range 3 with HLC. 5 dice and a defensive focus is pretty powerful. Opponents are real reluctant to fire on one if it has a focus on it.

Hull would just add a hull. I think stealth is better.

The idea with this list is that 2 cartel spacers are the centerpiece.

I'm agnostic on Hull vs Stealth, but I think 2 Pirates + 1 Spacer isn't a good formation. They don't really move that much like each other. I think I' want the Pirates rushing forward to set up blocks and close range shots, while the spacers (together or separate) hang back and shoot. It's a lot of firepower either way.

I'd rather do hull than stealth.

I would try to fly the Z swarm in together and have one Scyk on each flank to fire. Then again, I like Laetin for the HLC sniper position.

The problem is spacers are so squishy that some people sneeze on them and they explode. If you fly them with Z's and they die, you just have a list of 4 pirates which isn't scary to me. If you have a boba fett in people's faces to soak damage then your snipers should last longer, and boba should be able to solo what's left.

Boba can just be focused down. Your point about spacers being squishy means that when you lose one you've lost a 3rd of your ships. Boba and an HLC Spacer isn't much of a threat. 4 z's and an hlc spacer is scarier to most things.

If a spacer is at range 3 with 5 agility dice and a focus, do you shoot at him or at a Z you have more of a chance to hit?

They've actually got fairly similar dials. The Scyck gets a 1 turn and 5 K-Turn, where the Z-95 has a 3 turn and a 1 straight. Both ships have all of the banks which is what I find cause the most problems when trying to keep ships together.

Yeah, I didn't have many problems keeping them together when I tried this list out. There was a turn when I wanted an M3-A and the 2 Z's accompanying it to 1 straight, but since the M3-A didn't have a 1 straight I made due with other manuevers. They don't always have to do the same manuever, they can spread out when prudent.

From my limited experience, I've seen Scyks do best when they hover in the rear while the rest of the list mixes it up.

A friend last night did damage with 3 Scyks while Kath Scarlet zipped forward. I always forget how fast that Firespray can go and soon I was getting shot by Kath's rear and then shot by Scyks w/ Manglers at R2-3. It wasn't good.

Had good luck with this list trying to fly in one bunch until a Z or two needs to bug out to block.

Really tough for the opponent to choose a target. Serissu is the obvious choice but then they are shooting at someone with decent evade and when she goes down, your offense is still pretty much the same. Almost a Biggs effect.
