Just curious what everyone's thoughts are. I know ig's are should I say "meant" to be run in pairs due to the free title card however I really like my Kath or boba as well. So I'm thinking of running Kath and ig-b along with a z95. Giving iggy adv sensors and a mango cannon. I really like the firesprays with outlaw tech since security droid only triggers in 3 directions and have found it to be of marginal use at best. The free focus for a red manuever is gold in my opinion especially for 2 points and I find it fits my strategy when playing better than security droid does. Anyways this takes me to 83 points. So do I take a z95 for a blocker or take a z95 with an elite talent and use bodyguard and keep him next to iggy. Or just pimp out Kath and iggy? I kind of have a mixed bag in my store meta so it's really hard to counter everything, there are some running dual aggressors, another fat dash and support, another decimator phantom player another really good player running rexlar, whisper, tie build. Im currently in 1st place by about 2 full games using my twin firespray z95 setup. However I would like to change it up to avoid others hard countering it so I'm thinking of sticking with what I know but adding in some new stuff. So those of you with more experience with the aggressors than me what would you run that you've found more effective on them? And or how would you finish this list using my Kath and ig-b. If it helps I have at least 1 of every ship including multiples of some but I have access to all ships and cards.
Edited by Jaden CkastHow would you set up a Kath and ig build?
IG needs Autothrusters, period. It will generally save you at least one hit, and will often help you keep from spending tokens on defense. I'd also probably recommend Predator on him, as it will help ensure that one of the two attacks will actually hit.
That leaves you with 12 points to play with, so you can either try a naked Binarye, or load out Kath with things like PTL and Engines.
The problem I see with the Outlaw Tech is... who K-turns a Firespray? Especially Kath, who you want your opponent to chase. If you're dead-set against the K4 (madness, btw), I'd go for a simple Recon Specialist or something else that will be used for often instead.

I K-Turn to ENSURE that my opponent is chasing me. Screw jousting, I want us facing the same direction.
I wouldn't. IG should be run in pairs to take advantage of his fantastic (free) title.

Ya I forgot to mention that, basically my strategy with Kath has been to use the straight 4 to get up close as quick as possible so that I can over shoot their force on the next turn and use my rear arc. Basically the straight 4 puts me right around range 4 of them 98 percent of the time so we are unable to shoot then next turn I do either a straight 3 or straight 2 depending on their set up and fire out my rear arc then kturn next turn so I can repeat.

If feel like the z95 would help with blocking phantoms and exposing decimators so that's seems like where I'm leaning.
Also, This is Sablegryphon's write-up of an Aggressor + Firespray list at his local tournament.
He goes over his reasoning at the top.

Oh yes but I want her to use her rear arc while also not getting shot at. Most of the time my enemy finds her the biggest threat and will try and focus her down so I've had to change tactics by forcing them to kturn and get no action or risk having no shot on me meanwhile I get a focus no matter what.
Here's what I would do:
IG-88B
- Predator
- Adv Sensors
- HLC
- Auto Thrusters
Kath
- PTL
- Mangler Cannon
- K4 Droid
- Inertial Damp
k4 works off 4 moves. while outlaw tech works off 2. and you can use k4 when stressed too ![]()
Based on sablegryphon's list I've modified a firespray agressor build, and its quite fun. I really rate K4 as it gives the same offensive threat as PTL, without the stress. And can work if you bump, which is a huge bonus on a ps7-9 ship.

Personally I'd swap the mangler cannon for engine upgrade ![]()

Also have you found hlc on the aggressor to cause any problems with his ability? For instance if you get into range 1 his pilot ability does not trigger.

You don't have to shoot the Range 1 ship with your second shot
. Just like Gunner, you can choose another target (if they're in Range 2-3).
