Opinions on two potential lists for Store Championship this weekend

I'm stuck with Pre-Wave 5 ships and upgrades but here are my ideas.

Boba Fett /w VI, Gunner

Howlrunner

3x Academy Pilots

Basic big gun with mini-swarm that I've had some luck with on Vassal.

Corran Horn /w VI, Fire Control, Engine Upgrade, R2D2

Airen Cracken /w Swarm Tactics or VI

2x Tala Squadron /w Proton Rockets

This list idea I came up with today seems to have some potential. I like Swarm to give the Tala's and earlier Procket shot or VI to give Corran a mid-combat boost to either arc dodge after firing or get into better firing position.

Anything that looks like it could be fixed or changed?

Your first list is 11 points over the 100.. Have you been playing this list or did you accidentally put 4 instead of 3

Lose a academy and I'd say your first list

Plus maybe take off gunner and use engine upgrade on fett

Ps 10 arc dodger is always nice

indeed, adjust back down to 4 total tie fighters and the Boba list should be nice and solid. It'll all be down to how you play it. I also like V.I on Howlie, but that's up to you.

For Corran, the engine and proton rockets seem completely superfluous. Drop both and unleash V.I cracken (imo, too many popular lists exist that make Ps 8 worthless to risk 2 points on swarm). You'll be left with 38 points, which is enough for a lot of things.

Mainly, you'll want the B-wing or a ship that can reposition just to milk that extra usefulness out of PS 10 cracken.

I tend to agree with what's said above, but consider that Corran is a ship that can reposition. I like the Blue and the Prototype, because I like blockers, and with Cracken you'll occasionally be able to do stuff like block with the Prototype, then barrel roll off and get a range 1 shot (same thing with the Blue for that matter). You probably shouldn't bank on it, but it's super cool.

Yes, only supposed to be 3 Academy Pilots. Had 4 TIE fighters on the brain. I like the idea of VI on Howlrunner since I did have an extra point. Gives one more 10 PS to hunt Phantoms. Gunner is there because I know my dice and I need all the attempts I can get, plus it might help is Isard and 3PO.

the insurance against Phantoms is imo worth the point, if only for the arc-dodging potential on such a high priority target as howl

2 dice aren't a whole lot, but if Whisper survives with just one health left...
