Questions concerning the order of plot cards:

By kingsoyboy, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

1. It says in the framework action window "When revealed" plot effects resolve (In order determined by First Player)

Question: Does this mean if the plot card "Valar Morghulis" was played and someone declared him to go first, would all characters die and then my plot card The Power of Blood would be useless to save any of my ring characters?

2. Also, what if I played the plot card "Wildfire Assault" and Targaryens' card "The Titan's Bastard" was on the board? How does his response work?

The reason the First Player gets to determine the order in which "when revealed" plots resolve is because they are revealed at the same time, but they cannot realistically resolve at the same time. They conflict. However, The Power of Blood is NOT a "when revealed" plot, so there is no conflict. It is a constant effect and is simply active from the moment it is revealed. So it doesn't matter what order of resolution the First Player determines for the "when revealed" plots; The Power of Blood is already "on" and Noble characters cannot be killed - regardless of what any of the other plots may be.

Couple of additional points: Note that the First Player does not have to have their OWN "when revealed" plot go first. The choose the complete order of resolution - it does not have to go clockwise around the table from someone the First Player chooses. Also, The Power of Blood does not technically "save" anything. It just makes it so that Noble characters cannot be killed in the first place. If they cannot be killed, they don't need to be saved.

No Responses (except a "save" or "cancel") can be used until all plots have been resolved. So Valar or Wildfire is the plot (and the Targ Player does not choose The Titan's Bastard as one of the 3 characters not killed), then The Titan's Bastard will die before you can use his either one of his Responses. If he's dead, you cannot return him to your hand after the fact. So if you let him die, The Titan's Bastard's Response DOES NOT work with Wildfire or Valar.
