So Wave 2 of Armada was just spoiled at the Gamma event today, and one of the products is this:
Now we already have most of these ships, except for the Punishing One, Hound's Tooth, and a new wrinkle i havent seen any one mention much, the Havoc from Jedi Starfighter.
Given that there's been much talk of Hound's Tooth and Punishing One being additions to the Scum lineup, what does everyone think about the Havoc, and also how much this is an indicator that we'll get these ships sooner rather than later?
Wave 2 Armada, and its relation to Xwing: Specifically new Large ships.
With Alex's talk about bomber-love for Wave 7, it's probably pretty likely that the Havoc will be spoiled tomorrow.
It's been ages since i played Jedi Starfighter, didn't the havoc have OP bombs or something?
That's pretty much a confirmation on Bossk and Dengar.
People say it'a a Scurrg

It's definitely a sign of things to come for wave 7. I hope the linup is Prototype Bomber for Rebels, Punishing One for Scum and Scimitar Bomber for Imperials. Hound's tooth can't pass as a bomber IMHO, and none of these ships have any reason to be with the Empire.
Havoc looks like it could bring a lot to every ordinance-based ship.
I feel like Bossk and Dengar was a missed opportunity for a bounty-hunter buddy comedy.
If they are released for the Scum faction, however, I will try to make it so.
Well, the Havoc is not necessarily the ugliest fighter I've ever seen...it's up there.
Still, I'd take it without a moment's hesitation for the Rebel Wave 7 "bomber" over the godawful K-Wing.
Does that put us closer to thinking that wave 7 is the "bomber wave"? TIE Assault Bomber (Scimitar) for the Empire, Havoc Starfighter for the Rebels, and...I dunno, YT-2000 with Emon's brother Ace for the Scum faction?
Dwing pointed this out in another thread. Just thought I'd pass it on here:
Also following that Wiki link leads to http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bomblet_generator... A bomblet generator was capable of fashioning potent energy bombs by drawing from the power of a ship's reactor core. The original Scurrg H-6 bomber prototype was equipped with proton bombs that were released via two bomb chutes. However, after the modifications, the rather unstable bomblet generator could provide an infinite amount of bombs for the pilot's destructive needs. This generator was totally modular, allowing its safe removal for use in other craft when necessary. The space pirate Nym had a bomblet generator installed on his ship, the Havoc.
I think we might have our bomber love right here, infinite bombs!
Infinite bomb generator? Possibly at the risk of taking a damage or a stress or something? I'll take that. ![]()

Remember, now that we have cross-faction ships there is no reason we couldn't have, say, a Havoc Starfighter with both Rebel and Scumm pilots. Or Dengar or Bossk with both Imperial and Scumm versions. In fact, I'll be very disappointed if things don't start going that route with future releases, at least a little bit.
It's clearly a Horton HO-347:

This is exciting! Hopefully Scum will see both Dengar's ship and Bossk's ship in wave 7. The Havoc is a surprise, but it certainly looks like the ship to pack a "bomber/ordnance fix" in.

Ugly?!?!?!??
Lol you got no taste for sci-fi ships do ya
Next your going to say that the refinery station that the Nostromo was towing is ugly
Im quite surprised that there is a Hwk in the same size range as the Yt's, firespray etc
Meh, I'd much rather have the K-wing than that weird thing.
You'd rather have THIS:![]()

this?
I can understand not liking the Havoc/Scurgg but saying you'd rather have the K-wing because its "less weird" is just..... ungh.
K-wing Design Process: "What if we put like, a crap ton of engines and other nacelles on it?"
"Like, what? 3 or 4?"
"Nah, man, like, 12. Yeah, 12 would be awesome."
It is funny that their 3rd faction came out in the second wave making balancing required in triplicate rather than duality. I predict you might see a better 3rd faction from Armada than from X-wing but weaker balancing.
Yes, yes I would. It's got a solid role as the Republic's dedicated bomber in the only actual military science fiction books within the EU that I'm aware of (well, the part of the Black Fleet Crisis books that was about said Black Fleet anyways) vs. something related to the Prequels.
That and I love Koensayr products in general. Also, pretty sure most of those "engines" are actually munitions.

I was thinking this too.

I'd say the Hounds Tooth is most likely out of these because of Bossk, but I think the Punishing One would be pretty cool.

It looks like Armada is lumping all the "Rogues" with the Rebels while Bounty Hunters and other scum villains are Empire. I doubt we'll see a third faction for Armada.
It's pretty safe to say that anything you see get released for one Star Wars FFG game... is fair game for all other FFG Star Wars games (Within reason - no Star Destroyers in X-Wing lol). So all of these ships are absolutely viable. Now WHEN is the real question.
I hope we see a hounds tooth announcement by the end of the week so people will stop telling me its a huge ship.
It's clearly a Horton HO-347:
What is this game? Why have I not played this piece of Dieselpunk awesomeness yet?
Oh, come on... I just finished painting my Punishing One... dont make it just yet FFG
