Watch FCB Games' X-wing Coverage on Twitch as We Prepare for Regionals!

By Engine25, in X-Wing

First of all, we want to thank everyone who has EVER tuned in to watch us play X-wing at FCB. We have really been working on improving our streams so that we can share our experiences in the game with other people who love it. We believe that due to the success of our streams and your continued support, we have been given an X-wing Regional. The entire Regional tournament will, of course, be live streamed from start to finish, with featured matches through Swiss and full coverage through the Championship Bracket. And if you tune in, you will be able to enter to win one of many giveaways. I will post updates closer to the tournament with specifics, but I wanted the news to be out in the HoloNet ASAP.

BUT, before the Regional, we have a lot of practice to do and a lot of X-wing to play, and this week is no different. Tomorrow, Wednesday 18th at 7:30 PM EST, we will be playing our regular two featured matches live on Twitch at twitch.tv/fcbcomicsgames.

Tune in at 7:30 to see FCB Streaming regular, the TableTopGeneral, fly his Triple Autoceptor list against newcomer Spammer's Dual Scumsprays.

Then, That Handsome Nick returns to the stream with a StarViper list, and I will personally be making my FCB Streaming debut, flying against Handsome Nick with Wedge and the FarHammer.

The fun begins March 18th at 7:30 PM EST.

Once again, work keeps me from my future as an X-wing broadcast announcer.

One day, though.

One day.

Looking forward to it!

This should be interesting viewing.

This should be interesting viewing.

That's the goal! You can view some of our previous streams at our YouTube Channel.

Will do and thanks kind sir.

And we're live! First match starts in ten!

Like always, thanks to everyone who tuned in tonight! We'll be back with more X-wing in 2 weeks! I hope everyone enjoyed me shoveling That Handsome Nick like Bantha Fodder. And as always, a great game from The TableTopGeneral.

We had over 40 viewers tonight, and that's a big deal to us. Let us know how we can improve the experience for you!

And if you're in Georgia, hit me up and I'll put you on the stream! Better yet, come to our Regional on May 30th! You can Preregister here!

Fly casual, Wingers. See you in 2 weeks.

As usual, I've already gone back and spotted a handful of mistakes I made in my match - most notably leaving a stress on an Interceptor near the end of the game, and even more so when I sacrificed that same Interceptor needlessly on the penultimate turn. Makes me wonder how often those kinds of errors happen in random games that aren't recorded and we don't catch them.

But I think having the video to go back to lets us analyze our gameplay to a greater degree than is otherwise available, and I'm very happy for the opportunity to do that. I was also very glad to get a chance to be behind the scenes and helping with the commentary on our second match, and learn a little bit about how the voodoo of our streaming setup works.

I just can't shake that wedge/Keyan build. So much damage, so fast

Ran a virtually identical list (Shield Upgrade instead of Stealth Device on Soontir) and won a store tournament with it last weekend. It's a fun list -- remarkably effective despite the low apparent durability.

Here's the BatRep post.
