A tiny part of me hopes those ships aren't faction specific. At least not all of them. I'll be wrong, of course, but hope springs eternal.

My guess is that now that wave 2 has the "base" ships, we're going to start getting some of the less-known or less-common ships in subsequent waves... Then again, that might just be me hoping for a Venator Star Destroyer or a different kind of Mon Cal Cruiser (the one with "wings").

Love that they are doing the Mon Cal Frigate. Hope we see more of the mon cal designs. That's a BIG wave, especially since the large ships will be pricey. I never imagined they would do Rogues and Villains; let alone in one big pack. (assuming that is the idea)

The Mon Cal frigate was in the 2006 star wars game Empire at war. That's were I knew it from anyway.
based on the coloring of the fighters, they will be faction specific, Bounty Hunter ships with the Imps, YTs, HWK and Bomber with the rebels
i like that they have the guts, budget and will to push this right from the start without even waiting for feedback if the game actually sells or not. including the base size for large ships of 192mm times something in the core rulebook already gave the impression that those bases have been playtested already.

Yeah, I'm seeing that. The design apparently dates back to sketches done for ship models to be used in "Return of the Jedi" (although this one was obviously not included in the final film):
Makes me wonder, though, with news of this out, if FFG isn't hurting their own sales. It's weird-ish looking at first, but it's growing on me.

$49.95 retail for the ISD is quite a bit cheaper than I thought it would be. I was thinking at least $60.
Yea like this. I thought the x-wing CR90 was realy to expansive. i mean cmon, in the end its a plastic cast, no need to get to greedy.
Looking at the firing arcs, they seem to be continuing the theme of Imperials being all about the massive forward bombardment whilst the rebels will be focusing on broadsides. The Mon Cal cruiser looks set up for an Ackbar slash!
Which is really cool as it makes each factions ships distinct.
The Mon Cal Frigate is one of my favorites...love that ship!
Also, the ISD may not have 5 defence tokens, the 2 varients may have a slightly different set of 4, and so they have included enough tokens for either varient to be fielded

Looks like we won't be seeing new objectives with the new wave. Can't say I'm entirely surprised, but I don't see any objective cards in those previews.
