Two Squads

By KennedyHawk2, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

Here are two squads we've been toying with at the local shop. I'll have to get the command decks typed up later. Any advice would be helpful!

-1x Chewbacca (15)

-1x Luke Skywalker (10)

-1x Elite Sabateur (7)

-1x Regular Sabateur (5)

-1x Gideon (3)

The idea is to keep the Saboteurs close to Chewbacca and have Gideon give them focused so they can make sure to trigger blast. If all else fails Gideon can give Luke or Chewbacca focus for some strong 4 dice attacks.

5 Activations 7 Figures

-1x Royal Guard Champion (15)

-2x Regular Royal Guards (16)

-1x Elite Probe Droid (5)

-2x Regular Officers (4)

6 Activations 8 Figures.

Here the idea is to create a strong defense, use the Probe droid as a turret (we could switch to one officer and two regular probe droids for more turrets). Then let the office keep the royal guards positioned to make sure everyone survives. If anything does die hopefully the champion is close enough to give a swing.

I like both builds they both do different things. I think from the little I know about you the second build might be easier for you to run and less thinking.

Command Deck for the First Team

-1x Son of Skywalker (3)

-1x Take it Down (3)

-1x Debts Repaid (3)

-1x Lock On (2)

-1x Strength in Numbers (1)

-1x Focus (1)

-2x Explosive Weaponry (2)

-1x Urgency (0)

-1x Fleet Footed (0)

-1x Take Cover (0)

-1x Expose Weakness (0)

-1x Deadeye (0)

-1x Element of Surprise (0)

-1x Take Initiative (0)

Still making a deck for the second group.

Something like:

-1x Flurry of Blades (2)

-2x Bodyguard (2)

-1x Close the Gap (2)

-1x Inspiring Speech (2)

-1x Hunter Protocol (1)

-2x Marksman (2)

-2x Pummel (2)

-1x Focus (1)

-1x Urgency (0)

-1x Fleet Footed (0)

-1x Recovery (0)

-1x Take Initiative (0)

Does anyone know if two copies of Pummel come in a core set for some reason I can only find one. (Edit - found it in a stack of campaign cards).

First Build I would add Sit Tight and not sure how strong strength in numbers is in that build. No Planning?

Second Build I would drop Recovery for Rally and since the Droid has mobile and limited range not sure how great marksman is. Provoke could be a interesting card to add.

I would try and add Cripple or hold ground. I am wondering if going officerx3 and reg probe is better and adding in a few more leader cards like New Order and that push card?(I have an extra officer if you it but since you have two RG guessing you have two cores)

Personally I would go one Pummel and add regroup or Planning if you did go x3 officers.

Actually had to mix up my second build since I only have one regular Royal Guard deployment card.

It's now

-1x Royal Guard Champion (15)

-1x Regular Royal Guards (8)

-1x Elite Probe Droid (5)

-1x Elite Officer (5)

-2x Regular Officer (4)

-1x Regular Probe Droid (3)

Deck changed accordingly with some of your suggestions above.

-1x Flurry of Blades (2)

-2x Bodyguard (2)

-2x Pummel (2)

-1x Inspiring Speech (2)

-1x New Orders (3)

-1x Hunter Protocol (1)

-1x Focus (1)

-1 Reposition (1)

-1x Planning (0)

-1x Rally (0)

-1x Urgency (0)

-1x Fleet Footed (0)

-1x Take Initiative (0)
