Expecting Gama Trade Show Announcement?

By Killerardvark, in X-Wing

When is the next session again?

They have 4 sessions in all, right? Do they announce something new in each session?

no LCG news either...

When is the next session again?

It's at 7 p.m. EDT. So it starts two hours after this one ends (which will be in about 10 minutes)

Sessions are 1pm and 4pm today, and then 9am and 11am tomorrow, all PST

Oh ok that's not that bad of a wait then if they hold off on X Wing.

PDT. (You wouldn't believe how much the PST/PDT thing confuses our European brethren.)

Those times are in PDT, not PST, which is potentially very meaningful for people outside the US.

Wave 2 of Armada includes the Raider, that's cool (also Mon Calamari Cruiser, ISD)

Armada: Rogues and Villains. Maybe a preview of things to come! I see Hound's Tooth...
Does anyone recognize the 4th Rebel ship in there? I see the Falcon, HWK and YT-2400, but there's a fourth ship that is new to me.

Deathraven?

Could be, though I really hope that this game never sees a ship that is literally two B-Wings fused together.

Isn't Daylight savings over?

edit: huh weird, I always though it was "active" in the winter since there's less daylight during those months.

It just started and it'll last until November.

The ship between the HWK and Outrider is most likely Nym's Scurrg H-6 Bomber from the Starfighter/Jedi Starfighter games:

That looks definitely like the shape. Never heard of it or seen it before.

Oh, I'll bet your right. And I'll go further and bet that we see this in Wave 7, as part of the "Bomber Love" that is supposed to be coming.

Based on the writeup of the ship and its pilot, could we see it coming with both Rebel and Scum dials?

Its from the clone-war era, for now they have been doing ships from the period of the original trilogy. So it's more likely to be deathraven, which flew around that period. Could be that the ship was still in production though...

Not sure if they have the rights for all the star wars era's or just the period around the original trilogy? So far we have seen only products from the era of the original trilogy (LCG, Armada, Imperial Assault).

Word is X Wing is tomorrow.

Well, I don't think we're getting any more out of that presentation. Hopefully X-Wing will be in the next one?

If that comes to X-Wing, it would fit with Alex Davy's statement about bombers getting focused on in an upcoming wave.

I sure hope we see it and Nym in X-Wing. He's most likely gonna be Scum only, bu he was known to be a Rebel sympathizer so maybe we'll see him as a crew card as Scum/Rebels only?

I stand corrected: it did flew during the civil war, so it could be :)

And yes, it fits with the wave 7 'bombers'

It's definitely Nym in the far left card in the fan. You can see his dreadlock like tentacles.

You're more likely to learn more about why it is likely the Scurrg and Nym fit in the GCW era, and X-Wing/Armada, from reading Nym's profile on Wookieepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nym

Also, I'm a huge fan of the Starfighter series, so seeing the Scurrg here makes me excited for it to possibly be in X-Wing as well.

Yup, just read it. Didnt knew about this, should be fun if they made him a pilot and the Havoc title :)

Also following that Wiki link leads to http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bomblet_generator... A bomblet generator was capable of fashioning potent energy bombs by drawing from the power of a ship's reactor core. The original Scurrg H-6 bomber prototype was equipped with proton bombs that were released via two bomb chutes. However, after the modifications, the rather unstable bomblet generator could provide an infinite amount of bombs for the pilot's destructive needs. This generator was totally modular, allowing its safe removal for use in other craft when necessary. The space pirate Nym had a bomblet generator installed on his ship, the Havoc.

I think we might have our bomber love right here, infinite bombs!

Maybe scum: scurrg h6 and rebels: k-wing for the next wave? Perhaps tomorrow we'll know for sure.

I think so, I think it will be an infinite bomb generator with a risk of self damage of some sort! If you really want that extra bomb, you got to take a risk, very scummy :)
