Yes - they announced Rebel Aces at GAMA last year. I believe they posted the announcement on the FFG frontpage the same day or the next day though, so it wasn't a long wait for folks who weren't there. They also talked about the Rebel Epic ships and Wave 4, but I don't think they mentioned anything on those that we didn't already know.

I hope they announce an 'Elite Bombers pack' or something in that regard for the imperials

If they were announcing something new at the game show, we should have gotten an article on the raider already. Otherwise we will get an article on this new thing, and then the raider and I don't think FFG has ever released articles out of order like that.

They have stated they are slowing down on the previews. We probably are not going to get a preview article until the Raider is on the boat.

As mentioned above, rebel aces was announced last year and that was amidst the Tantive, Rebel Transport, and Wave 4 stuff.

They've previewed things out of order lots of times before. Check the X-Wing news archive.
I think we haven't heard anything on the Raider since it was announced in December because it was quietly delayed from Q1 to Q2. If I'm right in assuming it'll release in late May, there's still two months before it's in stores and it wouldn't make sense to spoil more of it so far ahead of time. FFG probably is waiting until the end of this month or the beginning of April to make another post about the Raider. Besides, there's not much left to talk about — maybe an article for the upgrade cards and the Raider's ship cards, an article for the mission included with the Raider and an article about the remaining TIE Advanced pilots.

I'd be a bit surprised if we don't get either Wave 7 preview, Scum Huge ship preview, or maybe an aces preview here soon.

I won't be too surprised if FFG holds the full Wave 7 to coincide with the release of Episode 7. The synergy potential is just too strong. Just give us a Wave 6.5 to tide us over until then.

It's a trade show, so they'll almost certainly announce something for X-Wing so their retailers/distributors can start getting orders in. can
It may not wind up being X-Wing specifically, but I'd wager today's two presentation have something to do with the lack of a news article so far today. Here's hoping we do get some X-Wing news at last.

Not really weird, it's a good place to get information (sometimes requiring you to wade through a lot of crap), but you don't have to sign up to do so.
