Anyone else completely expecting an announcement at the Gama Trade Show? I don't care what it is, I just think it's about **** time for some news to drop.

For those who don't know, the show is this week (today is 16-March-2015).

Not till tomorrow, if anything. But, yes, an announcement is probably very soon.

I expect the new trilogy packaging and hints at new ships...

IF anything we would see more from the Raider I would think.

Personally I for one am really glad that the info on new releases has kinda slowed down. I enjoy seeing what we are going to be getting but it's really nice to be enjoying my wave 6 and the boards aren't lit up with how this ship that's coming is going to change the way we play. This is the first time in awhile that I have had a wave in hand and getting to explore it before it's completely forgotten in favor of the next wave.

If you let the boards influence your enjoyment of the game then it's going to be hard to have a lot of fun.

Has FFG announced things at prior GAMAs?

It has been sooooo nice to be able to concentrate on the stuff that just came out instead of the stuff that we won't be able to lay with for another 6 months.

You misunderstand. The boards don't influence any enjoyment of the game for me. Looking forward to wave 6 pretty much made my wave 5 seem like an afterthought when I picked them up. I had no desire left to play either one of my new ships because it seemed like I had had them for months before I got them in hand, and I was already wanting to play wave 6.

I have noticed a lot of posts on the board lately that form an opinion of another persons post but seems to only read a few words out of the post and them make a statement only semi related to what the person was trying to say. To simplify what my post meant was thank you for not spoiling the next wave before we have a chance to sleeve our new cards, not to mention actually getting them on the board. Hope that helps to explain what I was saying.

Yeah, it's about time to announce Wave 7 so that it'll be released six months from now in September with a soft launch at GenCon in August. GAMA seems like as good a place as any to do that.

(The Raider, which was announced in mid-December and has an estimated arrival time of quarter two, probably will be released in May. It'll be three months after Wave 6's launch and FFG probably doesn't want to wait more than four months after that to release another product, which means that product needs to be announced right about now.)

I won't be too surprised if FFG holds the full Wave 7 to coincide with the release of Episode 7. The synergy potential is just too strong. Just give us a Wave 6.5 to tide us over until then.
