I have no clue where to post this so I guess here is as good as any.

I have recently gotten into this game in a big way (about $250 worth). I unpacked all of my miniatures and transfered them to some good cases for storage. Last night I was playing one of my first games and when I started putting ships on bases I made an alarming discovery. At least three of the stands are either sheared or competely broken off. I am talking about the small half-circle peg at the top of the stands. Right now this is not too much of a probelm since I have a lot more ships than I will likely ever put on the table at one time. Still it is worrisome that this is already an issue. Have other's experienced this problem? Is there a way to get replacements for the fragile (perhaps defective) stands?

I have quite a large collection and haven't had any broken pegs out of package. But yeah, at this point I have so many that it wouldn't matter.

Litko might make some compatible pegs.

FFG is very good with their customer service, and will replace a shocking amount of damaged components, including pegs. If you're buying even a minimal amount f ships you're probably going to end up with more bases and pegs than you know what to do with, but if you do come up short they should provide some replacements.

A few of my friends have had this problem, if I'm understanding you correctly.

They are very detailed and delicate miniatures. Handle them and their pieces carefully, and they should last a while.

He he... I'm currently at over $800 and still need more, and I know there's guys out there over $2,000 worth and counting. This isn't "a big way". This is a normal start.

Yeaaaa I've been playing 3 monthes and droped about 500€ already. But I dont think they have Crack in the expanded universe more like a plastic "Glitterstim or Ryll" habit
