Who wants more lore?

By Madmartigan, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

I really like Runebound and Descent, and I have been thinking about picking up Runewars, Battlelore, and Rune Age. In addition to liking the games, I like the Terrinoth fantasy setting. But the setting is quite light on any actual lore. We have only the most basic information. There are those who see this as a positive thing . And maybe they have a point.

However, I find myself wishing for more lore, for a semi-complete reckoning of the history and socio-political/cultural landscape of this world that I find attractive. Some have started various attempts to map out this kind of Terrinoth Lore. But none have compiled a complete setting.

What do you think? Would more Terrinoth lore be interesting to you, or do you not care? What about a complete Terrinoth pen-and-paper RPG? Or a third party setting book that is compatible with the Pathfinder rule set or something?

Would absolutely be interesting, lore is a lot of fun and for me it adds depth to the gaming experience.

An RPG, or setting book would also be great.

I have my fluff document up on BGG, which is as complete as I could make it using everything prior to D2E.

There's some stuff from D2E in there as well, but my interest in updating it dropped off after Lair of the Wyrm when I slowly realized all I was doing is adding more character names, without adding any actual new content to the mythos as a whole. Even SoN was disappointing in this regard. Aside from establishing the Black Realm as part of the Ynfernael, there wasn't much meat at all...

Link please?

I liked the fluff prior to D2e, then it all dried up.

The Heirs of Blood book would be a perfect spot to include back-ups of more of Terrinoth's lore. I also hope we get to see some more monster artwork, since I still haven't seen a good shot of the Merriods or the Elementals...
