Hey guys,

On this forum and on the Facebook X-wing pages you see a lot of 'What's the best way to fly this ship?' and 'What are the best upgrades to put on this ship?' but I haven't seen anyone ask 'How do I fly/what are the best tactics against this particular build??'

Tell me if I'm wrong and this has been done before but I thought it would be helpful if there was a thread that gave people strategies on how best to deal with certain setups. I no way am I expert on such things and I know it have a lot to do with what ships you are flying yourself so it would have to be general things like 'get in the Outrider's doughnut hole'.

If no one think this is good idea then move along and this'll soon disappear but if you do then add what you have worked out or seen

That is because it mostly depends on what you fly, against said combos.

Well for one I like the stress/ion combo. Only thing is that in order to pull it off effectively you are having 2 ships to control 1 ship or having something like R3-A2 on a gold which stress you forcing you to a 1 or 2 green straight or have something situational like Tactician + Ion cannon on a Firespray/Bwing which is sacrificing a lot of firepower that took a lot of squadron points.

I was thinking of a Ion turret proton bomb combo with the new Y-wing upgrades. Fly right next to them and zap them, then drop a bomb as you fly away. Still that is a lot of points for a one time use.

Ion APL is another fun ion combo.
