This HWK-1000 has been modded with exterior belly doors, with a speeder suspended over the drop by tractor beam. Able to drop a speeder (or multiple combat bikes) of commandos into combat, and providing close air support, the tractor beam also allows the ship to draw speeders or other unsecured materials into the cargo bay without stopping the ship. As fast as a tie fighter and almost undetectable, it is an ideal insertion vehical for a team of elite rebel commandos.

I can't consider something ideal for use when the base ship is as rare as a lightsaber.

My character uses his lightsabre quite a bit... not sure how it's that different. I think the ship looks pretty cool!

Cool ship, excellent concept - now you just need to convince the players to go along with it :D

I think I'd prefer a Telgorn 4R3 Light Assault Transport for this role. It can carry 16 troopers/passengers which should be plenty for most commando operations.

that's what, 2-3 minions per player? :P

Extra passenger space can also be useful for rescue and evacuations. Not every bunk is going to be filled for every mission, but better to have a few extra than too few.
