My opponent was a newer player with an XXBB-HLC list. I was thankful for both IG-88C's ability and Autothrusters against the HLCs at range. The build is very flexible overall, with lots of options for actions (both number and when to take them) as well as munitions. Having the option to stress a B-Wing is nice, while being able to attack at Range 3 with the Mangler is good to take away the opponent's bonus defense die. The PTL option to TL-Focus against a Range 1 ship was also handy.

It was my first real experience flying an "interceptor"-heavy list. I have prior experience with an A-Wing (Green Squad Test PTL/Predator) and Keyan Farlander with PTL and Engine Upgrade (which is pretty slick), but the Aggressor with PTL and AS is crazy-go-nuts. I didn't really miss the rear firing arc of the Firespray; the Aggressor is agile enough in a dogfight to keep the pressure on. Pre-action boost plus S-Loop makes turning around and getting a shot off much easier in my experience.

I cannot wait to fly this again. I am not sure if I should swap out PTL and/or AS. Both seemed situational. I wonder if Outmaneuver would be better given the Aggressor's movement tricks. Or if Predator would be better. Or maybe FCS vs. AS.

I think Predator is one of the best possible upgrades for IG. Due to the way it flies, you don't get a lot of opportunity to perform actions with the intent of modifying your attacks; usually you're boosting, or you want to hold onto a focus for defense. Predators' "mini-TL" effect is a great way to mitigate that.

Pred vs PTL on aggressors is a matter of preference really. I prefer ptl, but I like the zooming around the map playstyle. The biggest problem with that playstyle is the inability to focus fire so the opponent's squad slowly gets whittled down. But once their ships start falling, the shift is immediate.

I will say though with adv sens when boosting before slooping..... practice it multiple times to see how far it really goes. I sailed my B with nearly full shields off the map yesterday at a SC by about 1 cm in the final mop up. Quite disappointing.
