Armada is on the way; officially

By Enquiringnewt, in Star Wars: Armada

Hello Community,

For reasons of business security I won't post my name or my company's name, but I wanted to alleviate some tension in the community and tell you that Armada is officially on it's way to U.S. distribution centers; likely to arrive at the end of the week of 3/16 or the beginning of the following week.

Good hunting; o7

Newt

Edit #1: Reply: To the folks whom are worried about a troll; I assure you this is not. I got excited myself when I received the news and made an account specifically for it. Keep your eye here on Monday when I get a hard delivery date from UPS Freight.

Still showing as "at the printer" for me on my computer.

I just checked, and Wave 1 still says at the printer and Q1

core set still shows at the printer for me ... someones gotta troll :P

There was a thread in Imperial Assault that pointed out that it makes a difference whether you use the www. in the URL for the upcoming page... I have no idea why this is the way it is, but it is definitely on the boat when you visit the URL without using www.

yeah weird it doesn't show that for everyone.

That is strang, remove the www and BAM! on the boat..... I hope that means progress.

What do we need to remove to make it show as Available Now?

Can't like this enough.

That. Is. So. Strange.

I've never heard of such a thing.

Anyway, hope it's true and wave 1 arrives 1st week of April.

Bonne chance to us all!

I'm going to be racked with anxiety and paranoia if the FFG announcement that Armada is released comes out on April 1st...

This has filled me with a beautiful image of Grand Admiral Thrawn (from your username) clutching his wallet while standing over a holo of the FFG page, muttering to himself, "but can it be TRUSTED?" while mystified officers look on. You think you took the site artwork seriously. The guy would be turning purple.

I have it on good authority the game (and wave 1) is sat at the UK distributors already and has been for a few days and they have been told to delay shipping by FFG, presumably to allow time for it to get to the US distributors for a simultaneous release.

Which, admittedly, wouldn't look much different.

I wish we did have him around, he could probably have looked at the first preview images and deciphered when the release date was going to be from their selection of images.

Perhaps...

Though I fear he would have taken a deeper look, at the entire body of Star Wars art. He would have certainly noticed the murmurings of discontent in the US west coast ports, the giddy anticipation by fans for the release... and a certain tendency by our favorite game company to "err" on their delivery dates...

He would then have sliced into the computer containing the game rules and specs, had a few hundred-thousand copies of the rules whipped up, and used those as one prong of his multi-pronged strategy to subdue Earth!

I hope this is true. Would mean we should all have the game in hand by the end of March... Guess we will know soon.

This -- and the "connection not private" warnings make me wonder what in Vader's name is up with the FFG web site...

Is Thrawn spying on us? Is this the beginning of an attempt to destabilize the Earth by really honking off us gamer-nerds? Could it be a prelude to invasion?!? :o
