Hmmmm... mayhaps.

EDIT: I was reading through the event rules model policy, and it states that all models have to be painted, unless otherwise stated for the particular event. With the hold up of Wave 1 packs, this seems extremely unrealistic for IA. I sent the organizers an email, asking for clarification. As soon as I hear anything, I will post it here.

Hey

Solmed PM me if you do come or on the fence and you will not need to paint.

Jonny, will do.

If it is okay that the minis aren't painted, I'm leaning towards going. I just don't want them to be a rush job just to be able to play in a tournament.

EDIT: I just received an email from the AdeptiCon organizers. You are correct, IA does not have to have painted minis. I'll let you know by the end of this weekend if I plan on going.

solmed411 - Our model policy will not apply to the IA event this year.

Speaking from years of personal experience, Hank and crew put on a great show. I'm glad to see IA joining the A-Con family of games! Sadly, I can't make it down this year, but maybe next. (Also, I'd love it if there was a "Best Painted" plaque up for grabs next year!)

Do you know what the other prizes will be?

Thanks for the reply!

My wife and I should be there, but we are pretty awful at Skirmish. If you play her please be nice she knows the basics but is still mastering everything :) . Also if she quits I'll lose my Skirmish practice partner! :(

We are going to be around on Sunday for the conquest tournament as well so if anyone wants to play some fun skirmishes or campaign after the tourney we may be up for it :)

The weekend badge is 50 right or is there some kind of deal, you said the con is free but you need the badge for tournaments (like this one I assume).

PM incoming

Yes if you just want to walk around the Hall and event Center just see whats going its free but if you want to demo games/play you need a pass. For board games and card game only pass its 25 dollars for weekend pass or all four days from what Hank posted above. We all are new to the game. I only have like 15 games in.

I only have a few games in myself, as our local scene is all waiting for the Wave 1 Arrival to get serious.

Another benefit of the $25 Weekend Board Game pass is that, if I recall correctly, it enters you into the Play to Win competition meaning that you have a chance to win a copy of all of the board games you play that weekend.

Check with the Adepticon staffer that helps you get your badge at registration.

I'm looking forward to meeting other IA players.

I'm rpobably going to play in this tournament. I've only got a couple of games under my belt so far, so I don't expect to win. It will be cool getting a promo Trando card!

Who ended up winning and with what squad?

Sorry I didn't make it to play. When I did stop by to see what was being played I did see a lot of Vader and/or Royal Guards.

The winner had an interesting 4 Royal Guard or 3 Royal Guards + Champion squad can't remember I didn't get to play him.

There was also a Rebel Swarm and a vader + officer and droids in the top 4.

So there were five vader squads, Two rebel squads( Elite sabx2, Reg sabx2, Mak, Luke, Gideon and a Jyn/Mak/Sab/Trooper build, two Royal guard/Trando builds,Royal guard only build, IG/Trando build, A merc build with Trandos and Nexu,

I thought the winning squad was Elite RGx2 +RGx2 I am pretty sure han, Chewie, AT-ST, Weiss or Champion didnt show up? Think that was more because the new stuff was so new.
