Han is your main attacker and is a beast with Gideon. The Nexus are your tanks(with Cunning and +1 Evade if adjact to Han) and your deep threats.

The Trandos are your second attackers and the ones going for missions. If your opp focuses on Han/Nexu you have the trandos to deal with if they focus on the trandos Han or the Nexu should be able to get some good attacks and Cleaves in.

I know this isn’t tier one even when the new command cards come out but I think Han, Elite Nexu, Gideon is a great base for future sets.

Updated with the new command cards.

Updated with Version 1.1 with the new command cards.

I will be changing them again but I am starting the build this way.

Looks pretty good. Excited to see how it plays!

Guess this squad isnt that good since you can;t just have han in the back to get his ability need to be adj to the space. ARRRRGGGGGGG

I used this squad last night to great effect. My opponent was playing a Rebel squad of Fenn, Chewie, Rebel Saboteurs and Rebel Troopers. We did mission B from the RGC expansion. I spent most of the first few rounds working on killing Chewie. While he didn't do the killing blow, Han definitely laid a good amount of damage on the Wookiee that first round. The regular Nexu finished him off with Ferocity.

Have you thought of a list like.

2x Elite Trandoshan Hunter

1x Elite Rebel Saboteur

1x Han Solo

1x Temporary Alliance

You can kind of keep the hunters in front taking pot shots with Saboteurs behind them all surrounding Han for the defense bonus. Then when you get in throwdown range your hunters move up for the scatter gun bonus and can surround units then beat them down with everything.

The power of the build is because of what the nexu gives you(range, Blocker, Cleave 2) Even if I was playing the squad a little wrong its still really powerful. Only having 5 act without a way to increase damage not so sure about the squad above. Gideon I just feel is a must. The reason I like the Nexu+Han combo is because of the range the squad has. The Elite Sab are great but very limiting without focusing them or Luke letting them reroll.

The Nexu lets you get into position turn 1 or turn 2 with the Trandos.

I think the squad above would pretty sweet if you dropped the reg trandos for reg and added a Nexu.

Nexu have felt really underwhelming in my testing. Most other list either dominate it in melee or it just gets melted from a round of focus fire. I'm still new just figured the 2 Elite Trando's plus Elite Sabs would be could from the extra damage, pierce, blast.

They do do but because of cunning and them being large they give you a round to get in place or block objects. The Nexu is meant to get focused on so your other guys can do the dirty work since its really in the build as a blocker since it can take on a little damage because of the white dice and cunning. Pounce is pretty crazy letting them go 9. The problem with Elite Sab and Trandos is that they don't stay around for along time. The Nexu can be used as a blocker or a deep striker which can take off the pressure on the trandos or Sabs. The biggest problem I have found with Elite Sab is that without away to reroll or get focus they have trouble getting blast off which I have found Gideon is great at. Also the Mercs lack speed which the Nexu can really help with even if it can interact with missions.
