I may or may not have painted S&V purple and gold.

By Polda, in X-Wing

Mr. Vader also got a new ride.

Citadel Russ Grey is pretty close to the original blue gray of the later TIE expansions.

Washed in Darkenhof Nightshade to preserve the blues.

Better picture (from an actual camera with good lighting) coming some day :)

Its the centauri fleet!

That is some really nice highlighting on the viewport there! I think that is probably my favorite way to add a bit of color to a TIE without changing up its visual design too much.

Thanks for the feedbackand the knowledge about the hand-egg teams!

Since Wave 7 came out we were discussing locally how flat the YV-666 looks so I ruined mine. In a good way.

Not sure yet about painting the "teeth" (are they teeth?) on top of the ship.

Once I'm done with this I'll do the Nashtah Pup Z95 next.

Purple and gold look bad together.

I don't understand why people paint their ships, there is a 95% chance of making them look worse.

I'm going to say the 40+ likes say otherwise.

Go Huskies! Bow down to Washington...

I don't like some of the ships in the purple and gold but I also think the mat you're on is making it a bit too much for my eyes. Inverted aight looks sick. Star Viper is also awesome.

Vatican Guards?

That Hound's Tooth is really excellent! I love the look of a wartorn and weather beaten ship and that big slab looks really good like that!

IGs and Firespray I already cleaned and painted again to the versions I posted here.

I'll however swear by the color combination on the two Y-Wings. I love my two double-tapping, ion token distributing, blinged-out thugs. :D

nice :) I wish I could do that type thing, but I know I would make a mess and then have to go buy replacements.

BTW this is what the bottom layer of the Hound's Tooth looked like before gloss varnish, a thick coat of hairspray and then the orange etc.

It really is a flying rusty trashcan.

Dude, this is impressive. Very, very well done!

By which I mean I absolutely did that.

Polda, these look great! Love the battle damage on your falcon as well, looks superb.

Makes me want to go back and repaint some of mine so that the entire fleet complements one another.

Which coulours did you use for the blue-metal IG?

Sorry for the delay. Lost track of this thread.

Mix of Vallejo Andrea Blue and Silver, then a heavy wash of Nuln Oil and then drybrushing with the same blue/silver mix.
