I am working on a custom skirmish game that replays the scene in RotJ where Han, Chewy, Leia, and Luke attempt to take down the shield generator on ENDOR so the second deathstar can go down.

I need some help balancing this game.

My initial thought is to use Han, Luke, Chewy, and some rebel troopers (3) and have them face off against an AT-ST, stormtroopers, officers, E-Web, etc etc.

I just need help balancing the Rebel vs Imperial groups for this game.

Thanks!

Edit: fixed my bonehead mistake...

I hope you meant Endor instead of Yavin. that would be a LOOONG transmission for a shield generator. :)

I did. Sorry. Meant Endor.

Also - I am intending this to be more of a campaign game...not so much a skirmish. This is the reason for the need to balance the sides.

I've done this already using a Star Wars minis "attack on Endor" map. Imps must use an AT-ST (or Weiss). There is a terminal inside the bunker (but you have to take the turbolift to get to it) and another terminal outside in the speeder bike shed, off to the side forcing the same situation for the rebel player. If the rebels interact with the panel in the shield generator room, they auto-win, otherwise first to 55 vps wins (we play 55pts each for this map with 20pts worth of command cards). There are a couple other things that we award vps for as well but we change those game to game.

Extremely fun.

Can you please share the rebel and imp builds please?

Bump! Sorry! I really need some help balancing this.

At this point the Rebels will have Han, Luke, Chewy, Jinn and 3 Rebel Troopers.

The IMPS will have (outside) AT-ST, One squad of Stormtroopers, an Imp Officer and perhaps an E-Web. (Inside) Another squad of troopers + 2 Imp Officers. I wouldn't mind tossing a probe droid in somewhere.

My thought is, once the group gets inside the compound..I will wipe off the Imps outside and perhaps cycle a few more officers/troopers inside.

The deal is, all of the players in the game (besides myself) will be new. So I wasn't going to get heavy on the upgrades/add-on cards. Essentially, I was going to stick with the tutorial rules.

I just help balancing the game. Is there two many hero's? Are there NOT ENOUGH imps outside/inside? Can I toss EVERYTHING at the suggested group of rebels and it still be fun for them?

I don't play the campaign at all so not much help to you... I thought you were asking about skirmish, that is what my Endor map/mission was for. I don't even know how the campaign mode works, I left all that stuff in the box. Good luck

That is fine! Can you share your squads for your skirmish mission? I am not opposed to running this like that.

I'll post up a battrep when I get home from work.
