I did forget the ascension gun.
Although, so did FFG apparently, so I don't feel to bad.

I wouldn't throw vehicles against a group that doesn't have an armed vehicle of their own, or at least AT Mines.Unless you just want them to run, because the bloody things are pretty much invulnerable to anything that isn't planetary scale.
In a straight up fight, I agree. Although it's easy to throw vehicles against a group if you come up with narrative ways to do things. In one of the book adventures there is a fight against a AT-ST. There are a few things you can do to hurt it ranging from dropping heavy machinery on it to making the floor uneven for it to trip to tricking it to shoot out support columns and have the ceiling fall on it. If a GM wants an ill-equipped group to take out a vehicle a GM can make it happen.

And that kids, is where Ewoks come from.

Or things like the end fight in Saving Private Ryan where they improvised with explosives, made them sticky, physically ran up to the tank and attached the bomb to the tank treads to immobilize the vehicle.
I much prefer the Trandoshan Doctor Velociraptor. Claws are nice. Especially with the cyber upgrade from that one module. And the wookie marauder/doctor hss been around since the EotE beta days.
Naw...if you're going to make a Doctor character, you have to use the interrogation droid as a base and name it Dr. Ball.
This thread is like a montage of a couple of threads over the past year...wookie doctors, Luke vs. AT-AT, etc.
I had a Doctor in a previous campaign who stumbled over Pressure Point and pumped a bunch of points into Brawl. We both agreed that it was overpowered and house ruled it to provide Pierce equal to ranks in Medicine.
Lots of the GMs complain of talent combinations like that. It is min-max'ish and generally a way to force the GM to design situations around it. It is a good way to have the GM versus Player arms race ramp up as fast as possible.
If you want it for a one-shot style adventure, it is awesome, if you want it to piss off your GM, I feel sorry for them and dislike you a bit .=)
Play a CHARACTER not a talent set, and you will have the most long term fun.
So totally agree! I appreciate the minmaxer dedication to rule learning and just wanting to have the best character they can but, they sadly miss the point. This isn't WOW or some video game to be beaten with an optimally built character but a story and setting to be enjoyed, and yes, to kick some butt too!
Is this not hilariously practical?
IT IS! I wholeheartedly agree

I totally dig this nerf! I may have to implement this into my future games, thanks for the response, bud.

I feel you guys, really I do! the initial appeal of this combo, for me anyway, was that it makes a multi-layered character, who is pretty good a two jobs (healing/medical and combat). With my limited (but steadily increasing) experience with the game, I'm finding it difficult to see the appeal of "Jack-of-all-trade" specs, the Fringer in particular. To me "min-maxing" in games like EoE is less about making the most OP character, but the most efficient one. This all started when I was looking at the Pressure Points talent and thinking to myself, "man, I really feel like this has potential". The Wookie species bonus was just for the outrageous-ness of it all, that happened to synergized well.

Haha, I am so glad you do! This was supposed to be a much lighter topic.
I seem to remember pressure points just straight up not working on droids, so it's really not hard to go around and honestly I think sharpshooter (Age of Rebellion) with 2 copies of deadly accuracy + doctor would be more of an issue, but Marauder has how many copies of toughness? (the NPC maruader I made had something like 22 or 23 Wounds, and solo'd the party for 2 rounds, the doctor/mechanic with pressure point was a serious threat to the marauder though)
