I play causal with my father in-law and 2 brother in-laws. Typically its my father in-law on my side, Empire vs the 2 brothers Rebellion and S&V.
My father in-law built us a SD to use in a 400pt epic game. We have a full set of rules my one brother in-law made with energy, shields, damage per turn. As you can see the SD turned out great, its not perfect to scale but we do not care. We will tweak the rules little for the next time they face the SD, it turned out pretty fair but there was advantage more to the SD side. The game lasted about 9-10 rounds I believe.
On the SD side which was 300pts from the Grand Admiral Thrawn card I did up. We also had 100 points of escort ships. The SD can release 1 ship a round of Tie Fighter, Tie Interceptor or Tie bomber. We will change this next time and make it the 100pt escorts.
They consisted of Rebel and S&V fleet. As one brother put it, the Rebel's hired some S&V to help them deal with the Empire. The goal as to do 10pts of Hull damage to the SD, destroy 4 turrets and 1 shield generator.
It started out with them ignoring our escort ships to concentrate fire on the SD. This is what we believe now lead to the downfall of the Rebels, plus the fact S&V did not roll good at all. Which you will see in the last picture

Picture 3 - Now there concentrating on taking out our bombers as they know we have bombs ready to drop
Picture 4 - bombers destroyed but the Empire is able to get in behind them
Picture 5 - The B-Wings and X-wings are hammering the SD while the Z95's are now trying to provide cover
Picture 6 - At the beginning of the round there are 3 S&V Z95's, they lost all 3 and I believe 1 X-Wing in this round vs no losses on the Empire side
That the defining moment, the game was called since there where only 3 B-wings and 1 X-wing left and there was no way they could take on the escort ships and the SD. They did do 10 hull damage and destroyed 3 turrets, so they need 1 more turret and 1 shield generator. It was close. The Rebels blame the S&V for the loss, however he did state the only good thing was now the Rebels did not have to pay the S&V pilots because they all where destroyed ![]()
Here is a example roll of S&V, it was against a TurboLaser (we used the single turbolaser card) which you got to double agility vs this attack. So I rolled 4 dice with 4 hits, he had 1 hull left and no focus token.
