but off the top of my head, there is a character that won't allow anyone to win the game unless they have a conspiracy in their story pile.

Could you gives us the exact wording on this one? We railed against this in playtesting and it's even worse now that all the Conspiracies are piles of poo. If you have no Conspiricies and no removal in your deck, you can't win. If you have Conspiracies but Blackmore estate or similar makes you discard them, you can't win. serio.gif

Tsk, you missed the fact that Conspiracies are totally awesome powerfull and metachanging to the deepest level partido_risa.gif . "The power is subtle but is there" -talking about conspiracies- (M. Hartland) might be my favorite quote ever.

Also, you could totally use Atlach Nacha or Those without face to discard your opponent Conspiracies: Triple Threat, baby!

agreed

conspiracies are even less playable then polar events (which is saying something).

and now a card that forces you to play with conspiracies? just great... aplauso.gif

(the rest that I wanted to say Donald5 already said, so I won't repeat....)

So, if Player1 has a conspiracy in his 'won' pile and the mysterious character in play which disallows Player2 to win, and then Player1 runs out of cards in his draw deck, who wins the game?

I'm willing to bet this is not clarified in the card text.

PS. Looking forward to seeing how Hata can affect APs from the Dreamlands cycle and beyond.

UFS game terminology. "Exhaust a Fundation" partido_risa.gif

Edit2: I've just realized how badass would it be to have Zangief, Colossus and the Hulk combo piledrive Cthulhu on a nuke.

Edit: To chick: No bet.

This board badly needs an ignore feature...

But it seems I was wrong, the card is worded much more clevery than I imagined:

Conspiracy Theorist
Character
Cost 3
investigation
Skill 2
Players cannot win the game by winning story cards unless at least one of their won story cards is also a conspiracy card, or unless there are no story cards left in the story deck.

So, by the text above, if the situation in the quote box occured, Player 2 would win, because he has not won "by winning story cards" but instead won by his opponent losing due to no cards in his draw deck.
