i guess we were bound to see alternate art cards for upgrade cards.. i just didn't expect it to happen when there are still so many pilots to account for

but i still love it and the fact that it has an interceptor on it is a far better representation considering that it's all the interceptors use as their pilot upgrade

FFG comes out with some Tournament Kits (this is the Spring one). They're just prize kits for stores to organize tournaments outside the Store, Regional, National, Worlds structure.

For pilots I really only want ones with pictures of them in their cockpits. I really wish they'd done all of Red Squadron this way. Luke is disappointing to me. I'm probably the only one who feels this way. Lol!

What I really like about the Soontir Fel Alt-Art are the red markings on the hull for all the ships he's shot down!

I'll still be keen on winning one, but it would have been cool for the ruler to match the black regionals templates.

Nah. It bugs me when I put Wedge, Biggs and Luke down on the table and Luke is out of place not being just a headshot.

I like FFG mixing it up with bags and boxes. Personally I have a ton of boxes at this point but they're nice for keeping other things in, and I wouldn't mind a scum themed one now. That being said the bags are just too big. They're functionally useless for anything pertaining to this game.

Also while I like the art on the PTL card I have to disagree with the concept of upgrade card alt art from a game play perspective. The art is what helps you identify whats on the other side of the board from you more easily. Yes, you and your opponent go over it with each other before hand but during a game you refresh your memory by glancing over from time to time. This confuses that. Also I just generally prefer alt art pilots and ships. It's more meaningful, at least to me.

That being said the bags are just too big. They're functionally useless for anything pertaining to this game.

While I admit to having some misgivings about the permanence of the situation -- the bags do seem to have some durability/quality issues -- right now I'm using mine to hold my dice and a little baggie of SC focus tokens. It's my "every game" bag. I can add shields, evades, target locks, whatever I'll need based on what I'm flying, but I know I'll always need some focus and some dice, y'know?

It seems just about right for that sort of thing, for me. For dice alone? Sure, it's too big. For dice plus something else? I dig it, so far.

Are the promo PTLs bigger than a normal upgrade?
