Future scum ships

By bradflinn88, in X-Wing

what are the odds that we get a 2 or 3 crew slot scum ship? Or a crew and salvaged droid slot? Love the scum more than I anticipated but part of that is the thought of what's to come.

There's a fairly wide selection of large ships for Scum, odds are we get a 2-crew one sooner rather than later.

As for mech+crew, Dengar's Punishing One is about the only candidate for that, but given FFG seems to want to get all the ESB bounty hunters in I expect we'll see it.

T-Wing is next. Believe it.

What, and have a /third/ ship for IMPERIAL HOMERS to whine about because it takes their precious "interceptor" word away?

For scum ships, there's loads in the SWG wiki for Journey to Lightspeed - they will add those
but depends what fit the bill really, most are just 1 man fighters, crew and droid maybe

Well there are interceptors and the interceptor. The TIE is the latter.

Eh, it's just another TIE, gimme an x/1, /sa, or /d any day over it.

I would actually like to see another ship with the salvaged astromech slot. It doesn't make any sense to have an upgrade slot set that can only be used on one class of ship.

Both the JumpMaster and Dunelizard are good candidates (though the Dunelizard has crew by default, there was a variant that swapped the seat for a socket.

I refer you to the turret upgrade slot. Technically it's still only usable on one class of ship.

Hate to be pedantic, but that's two classes of ship.

True, true. Always forgetting the poor HWK.

For the HWK that upgrade is practically a requirement.

I'd bet on the Mobquet/Suprosa for huge. Since we have the Syck i'd reckon either the Duny, Krayt or Kimo. I'd hope for the krayt actually.

The YT2000 seems destined for scum, as well as maybe a most wanted 2 which gives them YT1300s and 2000s.

Outliers are the unspellable and unpronounceable black sun ships from Galaxies, as well as individual merc ships.

Rebels will probably get the T-wing, though Nova courier would be nice.

Imperials... I still reckon the XG-1.

I still hope for the XG-1.

Misthunter, punishing one and preferably the houndstooth should be in the next wave, obviously. After that maybe the yt-2000, maybe the t-wing (hope not, though) and Elis Helrots ship called the hinthra. For huge ships it could be the marauder or even better xizors flagship the vendetta. thing is nobody knows how it looks, so ffg could make it from scratch in corporation with lucasfilm or whatever.

Most of the candidates for Huge scum ship are pretty obscure and there's no strong reasoning in favour of the Mobquet - particularly considering it's not only obscure but looks like 3 bricks lashed together.

The smart money would be on a ship that's perhaps equally as obscure, but actually looks quite nice and was owned by a character who most certainly isn't the slightest bit obscure - so it's Jabba's Minstrel Class Space Yacht all the way and by a mile.

The YT-2000 has a considerable amount of lore/fluff behind it, but it's a horribly derivative design - only to be expected considering it's a YT of course - but considering there's already 2 YTs in the game, both belonging to a different faction, I'd credit the FFG designers with the ability to come up with something with a little more scum flavour than a virtual carbon-copy Falcon - The Hound's Tooth would be nice but a little too large, or the Punishing One are way more likely candidates

and don't even get me started on the xg-1

My Argument for the Suprosa (mobquet) comes strictly from the last 2 waves released. (Both having ships from SOTE).

FFG don't seem to have shown a great deal of favouritism in terms of which bits of the EU they'll dip into - just so long as it makes sense from a faction / flavour / function and form point of view.

The Mobquest fits on 3 out of the 4 but falls flat in terms of form - But the Minstrel class outclasses the Tri-Brick in just about every aspect and is WAY more marketable as a result.

Same goes for the YT2000

YTs are a Rebel thing in terms of the XWM gamespace - FFG have made that pretty explicit by excluding them from MW

I can't argue with that logic. The Mobquet is ugly and uninspired, though the suprosa - a modified version wasn't THAT bad.

We can make plenty of arguments for the BFF bulk freighter, but it suffers from the same problem.
