I tried this list out at my regular game night on Monday and I have to say I wasn't that blown away by it. I walked away with one win but really only because of time, my opponent totally would have ben able to take me out if he had two more rounds. The other game was a complete wash, my opponent was rolling really hot and I just couldn't keep up.

Kavil is a lovely tank but I feel like in both games he got focused down really fast, not sure what to do there. The Star Viper was a ton of fun to fly however I really need to get a little more experience with it. I like Xizor, I really do, but in this list his pilot power was useless and I really only included him because of his pilot skill. Though after playing a few games with scum I am starting to realize that they really don't play well at higher PS, they like to be in the middle of the pack.

Any thoughts on how I could make this list a bit more competitive?

Some say I'm crazy but use unhinged+ptl on kavil, giving a turret a 3 green everything is great for Kavil living longer. I feel like Xizor is ok but not worth it with out some combo of abilities. strip him down for points and throw in a hwk or a couple of z's

You've got it backwards. Kavil is a glass cannon. Guri and Xizor are tanks.

I have only 1 advice: Autothrusters! They must have it. I know this is better on IG, but 1 damage less always worth it

I re-worked the list a little bit however I don't quite know when I'm going to have the chance to try it out.

I could move some points around and net Kavil an Unhinged Mech and PtL. I don't quite know how I feel about switching them out but I heard from people that a speed three Y-Wing is fun thing to fly. I just get a little hesitant to run PtL with out at least an engine upgrade.
