Hi all! I've posted a batrep of a skirmish game we did during our league night at Gamescape in San Francisco. It's Empire vs Empire played out on the Close to Home mission.

Thanks for the game report.
Edited by Jonnyb815Nice job. Against Vader, the ideal strategy is to either focus fire on Vader (if you have the firepower to take him down) or else to ignore him and go after his grunts.
Yeah with this mission and the speed you had. I would of tried and took out the grunts earlier.
They went down quickly enough. 43-7 is a convincing victory.
The E-Web would've probably been my first target, since it has so much damage output (similar to Vader) and it's so fragile (not at all similar to Vader).
Yeah I underestimated the E-web. Overall I'm happy with my results in that game though. I played against Vader's Fist last night and got utterly destroyed twice though while trying to focus everything on him...
The order of activations in the video confuses me. Vader could have done so much more, turn 2 if he had activated the officer and given Vader a move, especially after you moved up the Royal Guards to fight his stormies. Brutality is a thing. I didn't really get the E-Web either, I likely would have moved it up to the edge as you pointed out on turn 1 to avoid the RGC and used it to clear out stuff faster so Vader could backup the rear. especially since he activated after everything else and was in no danger based on the position of the RGs.
Although this video does serve to show why RG spam doesn't work very well. Vader just gobbles it up, even if he does so a bit inefficiently. RY doesn't scare him very much and landing the stun is not really likely.
