On the other hand, with the impending apotheosis of God Emperor Tiny Hands, one might say that the discussion is more relevant than ever. But on this micro scale of our community, you're probably right.
Of course here we are two years on and it turns out that the impact of having a gay character was negligible. The sun still rose, the earth kept on turning and the franchise didnt burn to the ground. Pity the book turned out to be terrible.

Keep the real world out of my Star Wars FORUM* please.
There are endless forums on the internet to discuss politics and real world issues. There are very few for FFG Star Wars. I've had a bad experience with a forum I once loved being completely derailed by members (myself included) discussing real world issues instead of the books/games that it was based upon. There are enough straw egos here that we don't need to be passing out free matches to everyone.
I respect many of the Star Wars loremasters and FFG gamemasters here. I really don't want to know their politics, at least here. I'm ready to discuss these issues with anyone. Just not here. Please.
*I've got no problem with semi-real world issues being inserted into my Star Wars stories. I prefer it. It's the discussion at this forum that I fear.
