I interviewed "Weird Al" Yankovic once (this was the fall of 2001) and I asked him if he'd do a parody for Episode II as he did for The Phantom Menace and then Yoda a decade and a half earlier.

Weird Al replied that he wouldn't do that, because he'd rather space his Star Wars songs out every 15 years or so.

So the time is definitely ripe for a new Star Wars song parody by Weird Al!
