I have an x wing tournament coming up soon and i was looking for ideas for a Vessery+ shuttle list, focusing on using Vesserys ability and the shuttles ST-321 and weapons engineer.

From my experience ST-321 and Weapon Engineer is not a good combo in standard play. You are paying 6 points to essentially gain an extra TL on the board. Really Vessery doesn't need multiple TLs out there to be effective. He just needs one on the target you want dead. Also, I like to have at least 2 ships be able to grab TLs. That way when one goes down, his ability doesn't become useless.
I've gone up against Vessery list that just employ a shuttle to get TLs for Vessery and once you kill the shuttle Vessery just becomes a PS 6 Delta Sqd.
I'd do this:

Has a ton of health and the ability to grab a lot of TLs for Vessery.
Edited by Jo JoYeah, you've got a lot going on your Shuttle there. This immediately will strike your opponent and he/she will go for the shuttle above all else because, as mentioned above, Vessery becomes useless without outside target locks. Also, VI (to me, anyway) is almost auto-include on Vessery. This puts him above Dash and many Scum pilots we can be expecting soon while allowing him to properly reposition with a barrel roll if a target goes elsewhere. Here's a list I like to use:

Leaves you at 99, Night Beast is actually pretty survivable with the TIE Fighter's green maneuvers + the evade action, and BSP can be fitted with an EPT (Calculation, Draw Their Fire, etc.) if you'd rather have added protection. Darth Vader's auto-damage will be great against Fel's incoming popularity or large ships that need a beat down. Alternatively, you can drop HLC / Vader and run a shuttle just with ST-321 and get some better TIEs to accompany Vessery.
I use omicron with fleetofficer and rexlar with hlc and a naked delta. It is awesome.

I'd probably try swapping out the Stealth Device on Soontir for a Targetting Computer.
I have several times tried this list:
Whisper - ACD, VI, FCS
Vessery - VI
OGP - Vader

It worked quite well, and was a real fun to fly.
Agreed. Don't take one ship purely to support another if you can avoid it - Vessery's good but I'd prefer to support him with a pair of bombers - cheap, tanky fighters who happen to provide target locks in the process of shooting themselves (because they shoot after him).
Veteran instincts is good, as is engine upgrade - because you don't need your action to target lock, you can come out of a koiogran turn and boost and still get an accurate shot with your weapons.
If using a shuttle to support Vessery, this is all you need:
Omnicron Pilot w/ FCS + vader
Vessery w/ heavy laser cannon.
That leaves you 32 points to flavour to taste. For example, you could take 2 bombers @ 16 apiece. You could take Fel w/ PtL + target comp (or autothrusters). You could take Howlrunner + academy. You could take 2 academies and still have 8 points for more upgrades on vessery/shuttle. etc, etc, etc.
