Just bought the new Decimator, and was thinking of running it with Expose to get 4 attack.

However, what happens if I get shot at, at range 3?

Do I get the 1 extra defense die? Or is that cancelled out by Expose?

Expose reduces your Agility value by 1 when it's used. Your Agility value can't go below 0, so the Decimator is typically not affected--technically, the way this works is that you add up everything that has to do with Agility, and if the result is less than 0, your Agility is 0.

But the bonus defense die you roll when you're attacked at Range 3 doesn't change your Agility value. You don't include that bonus die when you're calculating your Agility, so you get it even if your Decimator activated Expose this round.
